“Do not stay at this hotel !!!!”

Just returned from 10 days of hell. Hotel is full of noisey German students. Few staff speak English and most are rude. Food is terrible, boring and repetative. All Inclusive only starts at 1pm on the day of arrival and ends at 1pm on the day of departure. There aren't enough sun beds and no umberellas. The only entertainment is a guy playing music occasionally and of course the loud music and noise 24 hours a day from the German Students. Extremely noisey air conditioning system.
If you are English this is NOT THE PLACE for you.

Room Tip: Do not stay at this hotel.

First of all, thank you for choosing our hotel for your holidays.

We have groups of young Germans coming all through the summer until september. We try our best that they don't interfere with our other guests. We hear you and other guests complaints and really wished we could control our young guests behavior.

About our staff, they do not speak perfect English, but they are correct and as far as I know most of our clients are happy. I apologize for any misunderstanding there might have been.

I don't understand why you complain about our All Inclusive opening hours. Our service starts with your first meal and ends with breakfast at departure. In fact we do leave a few hours after noon for you to enjoy after check-out.

Sorry you didn't get to use a sun bed at the swimming pool. We do not keep a list of availability for these and it is on a first-come first-take basis. We do have sun beds and umbrellas for you to take to the beach as an alternative.

As for entertainment, we do have just as you said. Most of our guests are not interested. Depending on our general occupation we have more or less entertainment. We are open to suggestions to this respect.

I'm sorry we couldn't live to your expectations. However, thank you for letting us know your complaints. Your comments will help us provide a better service.

Me and my friends came for my birthday week. Me and my friends speak english and french which is a plus as they are a lot of people here from france and Germany
To start off with everything was nice but the receptionist was rude.
Our beds were a little close for comfort which was fine because we was able to rearrange. For saying this is a 4* hotel our beds were not changed daily nor made and the towels were also not changed. We was going down everyday to ask for fresh towels which on one occasion we was told to wait for up to 30mins when someone was already in the shower. There is no kettle or fresh bottle of water in the rooms. The bar closes at 11 and even if you go up for a glass of water you are rejected. The food is extremely repetetive we ate out from wednesday-sunday. At night when we were sleeping we woke up several times as the noise was to much for us to sleep through. I would not reccomend this hotel to any of my friends or family. The beach isn't sand its stones.

Firstly, thank you for having chosen our hotel for your holidays.

Please let me reply to your observations:

We provide daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Cleaning is done in the morning before noon, so if you had a sign of "do not disturb" the cleaners probably skipped your room. Sorry we couldn't provide you with spare towels any quicker. It is our aim to provide with you with our best service.

Our food is fresh and varied with over 20 dishes to chose from, with mediterranean and international cuisine, fresh fruit, salad bar, grilled meats and fish and vegetarian choices. We do not provide drinks in rooms, however there is a fridge for you to use and keep any drinks or food you wish. You are right, the bar doesn't provide 24h service at the moment.

We apologize about our guests behavior. We do have large groups of young people, in fact all hotels in Lloret de Mar center do in the high season. We try our best to protect our other guests, and find a solution where it is possible.

The beaches of Lloret de Mar have their own section for complaints and the hotel Mediterranean Sand has nothing to do with them, so the complaints should be addressed to the correct section. Talking in general the majority of the beaches of Lloret de Mar have the European Blue flag award that is given for good beaches only.

We are deeply sorry we couldn't live to your expectations, but appreciate your comments as they help us detect our problems and solve them. We are constantly striving to give a better service to our guests.

Took my mum for her first trip to Spain, She loved Lloret but the hotel was a disgrace, we booked allocation on arrival and stayed here just the month before, we were proper gutted to find we were staying there again, food was crap, very repetitive and seemed to be leftovers from earlier meals, chocker block with German DRUNKEN students, no room in the pool for the little kids, NO entertainment, we had to pay to go across the road to get some sort of entertainment, NO parasols by the pool, public WC full of puke, students shouting and playing football on the landings until early hours of the morning, However the rooms are nice, i would NOT stay there again, the best part of our holiday was talking to the other English guests that were also unhappy with the venue, better off booking a 3 star and having a good time than staying here,

Room Tip: go somewhere else

Granted that it will not always be of the taste of every guest and that it might get boring after a few days, but we think and other guests believe it's great quality food for price.

We apologize again for your bad experience, however sometimes one detail spoils everything else. Meanwhile, we are trying our best to give the best experience possible to all of our guests and our guest comments help us get better at it each day.

we arrived at Mediterranean sand on 19th June 10:55 in the evening, we could not get a drink as the bar closed at 11. The staff were rude and arrogant even as we checked in not one person spoke to us, the receptionist gave us our room key and asked for 12 euros tax. I asked her what time breakfast was and where our room was, she pointed to the lift and showed me a list of meal times, not one word spoken. Things did not get much better the room was pleasantly clean but not big enough for 3 people as 1 bed had simply been squeezed in by the built in wardrobe. The meals were often random foods that could not really make a proper meal and same thing everyday almost like leftovers.

We came as a family but we didn't feel like we were on a family holiday, it felt more like we were interrupting a student party or lads weekend. The pool are was dominated by teenagers unsupervised fighting, yelling and getting sozzled from the minute the bar opened. There was absolutely no entertainment or atmosphere whatsoever, we got the feeling that you would only be welcome at this hotel if you were either Spanish or a German teenager.

I would not recommend staying here unless you are looking for an 18-30 holiday which we certainly were not.

the hotel is very nice to look at,but the promised entertaiment does not exist,the food is boring and same every day,it's also full of very rowdy german students (thought this was one off but after second trip realized its not),definitely not recomended for anyone with small chidren or over 40

My worse fears were confirmed when we arrived at this all inclusive hotel that it was full of foreign students on the piss! from the time the bar opened until it closed, then they went clubbing until the early hours of the morning. During the day you could not relax by the swimming pool as they took over all 28 sun loungers and the 6 tables and chairs that were available at this 108 room hotel. Most mornings there would be broken glass in the swimming pool and cigarette butts as the hotel would not supply ash trays as they were being thrown around. The hotel staff were not very helpful or happy. The food was the same every day and there would be a que at the bar of drunk students, there was even a fight one night. If you are aged 18/19 or 20 and want to be drunk 24/7 then this hotel will be perfect for you. I cannot believe this hotel has 4 stars my opion it would be more suitable to be labelled a youth hostel.

Me my partner and son along with a friend and another couple travelled to lorett de mar 28/09/12 cheap,late deal!! surprised with newly refurbished hotel very pleasant to look at and CLEAN!!
on arrival we checked got our bands were pointed in the direction of the restaurant and bar

I requested a travel cot on booking our holiday only to be told that I had to pay 10 Euros per night (70 Euros) extra!! after speaking to another couple with a baby I was told they had the same problem and refused to pay the money so don't b fooled stand you ground!!

breakfast: basic not always hot
lunch: never had any problems food was always fresh
snacks: were not always not if you didn't go down on opening
dinner: good variety, fresh salad, meat cooked in front of you and different choice of soup!

what you expect for a 3 star spanish buffet resturant, every day there was at least 3 dishes to choose from, plus another meat of some sort cooked in front of you as well as fresh fish, and plenty of salads to go with them. There was plenty to choose to drink. We ate their almost every night.

In the week we were their the entertainment was little, Saturday and Wednesday had a dj (disco)
we chose to stay at the quieter end of the strip only a 10 min walk to the busier end! beach was a stone throw away.

The rooms were a decent size and the bathrooms were great, we had a huge shower! The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels changed,

all-round a good holiday, good weather, good hotel
would return!!

Room Tip: we wer 2nd floor 202 pool view excelent. friend on the other hand was 218 with no view at all looked...
