“☺~*Great Value For Money! Would Definitely Return*~☺”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Me & my boyfriend stayed here for a couple of nights. It is a good hotel for the price & the staff are very friendly. They always had smiles on their faces & were forever cracking jokes with us every time we spoke to them. Lovely lovely people. We went self-catering but ate in there a few times & the food was nice (especially the pizza's). & the beer was lovely. Also, the pink lady cocktail was nice BUT lethal haha.

When me & my boyfriend was having a game of pool in the bar one day i accidentally knocked over a pint of beer which unfortunately smashed all over the floor (so embarrassing!), the man behind the bar couldn't of been more helpful & gave me another beer for free which i couldn't thank him enough for (top bloke).

The pool area was nice, quiet & tidy, as were the rooms. The location was good - about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, bars, shops etc. There was always plenty of sunbeds available which was good as we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to rush down to get one. It wasn't that busy when we went but during July/August i can imagine it getting fairly busy. This was our first stay at this hotel & certainly won't be our last. I would definitely go back without a doubt & recommend it to all my family & friends!☺x

we stayed at this hotel as a family trip to see the barcelona v celtic game, it was end of season an things were pretty quiet all in all this hotel wasgreat value for money but the real advantage of the hotel is the staff they are fantastic and if you were to travel any were in the world then this is the staff you would want to have from the reception to the cleaners, not forgetting the bar staff they were all out of this world, Cannot rate them highly enough, When ever i get backto this lovely part of the planet all be staying at here simply due to the staff, Pity we got beat off barcelona fc, but we got our revenge in glasgow so all in all a great place to stay and like i said cant rate the staff highly enough

Room Tip: rooms are very good but if im being picky rooms facing pool are best

Once again the hotel did not let us down. We took some friends this time and they were also impressed The cleanliness was paramount, It was interesting to see that a microwave had been installed in the dining room so our breakfast could now be piping hot! I would just like to praise all of the staff, they all went out of their way to make us feel welcome, especially a very fond hello to Aziz in the bar. Would more than recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool and was very quiet away from the noisy roundabout at the front of the h...

I have just come back after 1 week at fenals garden hotel, 2nd to 9th October, the hotel is in a good location just 10 mins walk from Lloret or you can take the bus outside hotel across main road opposite the hotel number L2, 1 euro 55 cents each way, this bus does not go into bus terminal you have to get off and cross over the road, you can go to Tossa de mar, Blanes and many more destinations from the terminal.L2 bus goes onto the beach front then in a loop back to fenals. You can go to Barcelona for 6 euro 95 cents from the same stop opposite hotel same fair for return journey. Hotel Fenals beach is a 10 mins stroll down the street to the right and right again at hotel not the main road.Beach is great well worth going to, plenty of free toilets on the prom and numerous cafe bars, sun beds and brollies are 5 euro each on the beach, 9am to 5pm.There is a boat running every 30 mins to Tossa de mar one way and Calella the other with many stops in between, 10 euro's one stop to Lloret return and 26 euro's to Calella return. I dont think I would rate this hotel a 4 star more a 2.5, the lifts are VERY small 4 people can just squeeze in.We stayed half board food was not very good except for the salads, plenty of choice of hot food just not very good but you can always find something.Chef too busy parading about outside of the kitchen talking to anyone who would listen, safe in room is 30 euro's weekly with 10 back at the end of holiday when key is returned. Rooms are nice and big an iron and ironing board is a bonus with two double comfortable beds, shower and bath in ensuite bathroom with soap and shampoo free, also nice towels. TV has a BBC news channel and two english speaking film channels. Air con is good and the maid is excellent room kept very clean with clean towels every day and sheets changed three times in one week. Reception staff speak very good English and are VERY polite and good on information. We had a room next to the lift which was not a problem in itself but when people came out of lift they did not talk they shouted to each other and when they finally parted company they SLAMMED their doors, it has to be one of the noisiest hotels I have stayed at but this is not the hotels fault just thoughtless guests. I had earplugs in every night.I would stay here again but ask for a room on the top floor ( 6th ) and away from the stairwell we were on the 5th floor next to stairwell and lift. Good outside area but pool is in wrong position does not get much sun so is VERY cold, steps into pool are very steep so makes it awkward to get in and out, you can get free poolside towels at reception. No disabled toilets at reception or access to leading to pool area, the only toilets are down steep stairs at reception they are for the used for bar as well, so you can't be having a good drink but they are very clean and beautifully furnished. Entertainment poor, large bar with a pool table, bar staff very good, prices 4 euro for a single whisky, you would not pay this at home. Loads of mini supermarkets and many restaurants nearby we went to an Indian down the main street at the second set of traffic lights not cheap but good. Not many British here very mixed nationalities nice and cosmopolitan.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room away from the main road also the stairs and lifts.

In general this Hotel exceeded all my expectations. The hotel staff in very professional, friendly and meets you everywhere with good attitude and and smiles. The rooms good, comfortable with everything I needed. Room services are also brilliant and always on time. After the breakfast I always found my room as I came the first time, clean and tidy.

What else worth to mention is food. I really enjoyed it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was always fresh, tasty and beautifully served. Sometimes it was difficult to choose what to have because of the big variety of choice, especially in the first days at hotel. But I would count it more as good not a bag thing, because I always had opportunity to try something different.

Not everything is perfect there. There was elevator broken two times, but hopefully hotel staff acted fast and fixed it in aprox. 30 minutes both times.

I would really recommend this hotel to anybody who would like to stay in a good hotel and have a perfect services.

Room Tip: I would recommend to choose the 6th floor on the hotel's pool side. These is no noise and the vi...

Just returned from a 5 day stay at this hotel on a half board basis. The food was average not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel even complained to the Chef as it was either overcooked or a rubbish selectionand the deserts were the same every night, (cake, mouse or rice pudding) quite a number of people commented that the food was rubbish and ate out, the only decent thing was their salad. Compared to other 4 star hotels this is more a 2 star for food. The rooms were o.k.(safe and fridge for hire) but bathrooms need updating however they were very clean and the maids did a great job. TV only had one English channel BBC World News, not that bothered us as we rarely in to watch it. The drinks in the bar were good and reasonable and the bar man was very nice. The entertainment was a bloke on an organ every night (boring). There were 2 small lifts which would only take 4 small or 2 large people so were hard to get, so used the stairs mostly, luckily we were on the second floor. If you want to get some sleep hopefully you'll get a room overlooking the pool as if you get one on the front as we did you will get woken up from 7.00 a.m. from the outside traffic.

The Reception staff were lovely and really helpful on giving information on the area and how to get to different resorts like Tossa del Mar, Barcelona and Girona (Cathedral in Girona well worth a visit it was fab) both were easliy reached by bus from Lloret main bus station. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel which will take you to Blanes and local resorts.
There are a few bars around the hotel, Busbys, El Pub, Roxys and a few shops nearby, but only a 10 minute walk into the Centre of Lloret and the Orient Express Bar on the seafront is fabulous, well worth a visit.

The restaurant is what lets this hotel down badly. The owner should send the Manager and the Chef to a 4 star hotel i.e Salou (Golden Port Salou & Spar) or 4 star in Benidorm (Flamingo Oasis or Hotel Brisa) Then perhaps he will see what a good 4 star represents in hotel accommodation and dining room food. This hotel should be advertised as basic 3 star.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back if you like to sleep in.

We are on the last day of a weeklong stay here-on a half board basis. Half board was a big mistake as the food was so boring, repetitative and virtually inedible that we decided after a few days to eat elsewhere. There are plenty of alternatives nearby. We found the staff unfriendly and robotic. On arrival we asked for some ice for a vacuum flask in which my wife keeps her eye medication but were told that we would have to pay €2 for a large bag of ice! So instead we payed €10 for a key to the fridge in our room. The room was fine and air conditioning good. The cleaning staff (who we never met) were very efficient and kept the room in perfect condition. Finally the 4 star rating is a nonsense-apart from the pathetic standard of food,we do not know of any 4 star properties that can only provide 2 minuscule lifts (max 4 persons!) for six storied hotel
