“A moonscape of unusual beauty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

The beach itself is a letdown so don't go there for the swimming although snorkeling the rocks is fun. The white boulders and rock formations remind one of what an astronaut might see landing on our nearest heavenly neighbour, the moon.

“If you can get there without the crowds of August you are in for a treat.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

Out of this world - if you like beaches you will not be disappointed by this one. If you have a hire car andf in peak season then drive down the coast a km or 2 and you will find similar beaches without crowds - but even crowds on Milos are small compared to mainland beaches.

“Simply the best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

There is simply no other place like this one. You just sit and spend your day gazing at the amazing landscape, as the sun moves across the sky, and the shadows formed by the rocks make beautiful shapes. Occasionally you dive into the clear waters of the sea or take a walk into the Pirate caves ! The most well spent time ever...just make sure not to carve your name on the cave walls or the rocks, like all the animals who visited and failed to respect the beautiful landscape...

“amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

this is a beach like no other. you can't visit if the winds are blowing, but we took our 13 month old (in a baby carrier, obviously) and the water was shallow, walm and calm - perfect. bring your own food and shade (there's only one poor tree!)

“A Beach Like No Other”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

I should make the point, before my review, I'm not a beach guy. Therefore, this place likely struck others more than me. Having said that, this was one of the most unique experiences I've had on a beach. The bone-white surface is hardened volcanic ash and creates a landscape that, as many have said, is reminiscent of what we would think the moon to be. Not only is the actual beach fascinating, nearby caves are fun to explore. There are plenty of room to spread out a towel and enjoy a hedonistic afternoon. Don't miss it.
