As already stated in previous reviews, the owners and their son are very kind and helpful: they pick you up at the port and can arrange car location. The room is large, and nicely decorated with everything you need. the bathroom is small, and strangely there is no curtain around the shower so you unfortunately put a lot of water everywhere when you take a shower. The breakfast is good, served on the balcony and proposed with many different things, but not included (5 euros/person). We had room 8, upper floor with a sea view, but this in fact a partial view as your balcony is squeezed between another room ahead and the neighbourgh house, which also limits the privacy. The hotel is very close to the beach (though you will waste your time going to that beach given all other beautiful beaches in milos) and from adamas and many restaurants along the sea, but the area around the hotel is not the most scenic as you are among mostfly fields and surburb. Globally, this is a good value for the price you pay.

Room Tip: The rooms 6 or 7 are on the upper floor and have a direct view on sea and adamas

Spent a week in Milos as my son was getting married there. The hotel was lovely, friendly and ideal for a family get together. The staff were so accomodating and kind, offering to drive us as we needed to Church's and ports for pick up and drop off. All in all we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend Ippocampos for anyone to visit. Close to the beach, Adamas central and amenities. We had a wonderful time and enjoy our stay enormously at the hotel.

Recently stayed with a family group (3 rooms) for 6 nights at this friendly comfy hotel in a quiet area. It is located about a 10+ mins walk from the centre of Adamas - but only about 3-4 mins walk down to the sea for a swim and the beach! Really convenient having a small kitchenette including a fridge which contained a complementary bottle of chilled bottle of water when we arrived - much appreciated on a hot day! Our room was very clean and spacious, and great having a little balcony to enjoy our sea view, the drying rack and pegs also very useful. As a family group we really appreciated the larger table and chairs in the communal area outside the rooms. The owners Flora, her husband and son Panos couldn't have been more helpful, and if we returned to Milos would certainly stay here again - certainly good value for money.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor and didn't hear any noise from the rooms upstairs

We stayed in a room overlooking Adamas port and the sea. The room was large, with a good-sized bathroom (with a window), a comfortable bed, a balcony, and a well-equipped kitchenette (even with wine glasses). Everything was SUPER clean (daily), and towels are thicker than we found in similarly priced apartments across the Cyclades. We found everything we could wish for during our 10-day stay. Panos, the son, is a lovely person. He was waiting for us at the port---after a hairy SeaJet boat ride ☹. Panos also speaks English fluently—a plus in Milos. We enjoyed being very close (10, or less, minute walk to the center) to Adamas, but not staying “right there.” Adamas can get pretty rowdy on weekend nights (Friday, Sat & even Sunday). So, unless you enjoy partying loudly until 6AM, you’ll be GLAD to be staying at Hippocampus. If we ever return to Milos, we would definitely return to Hippocampus. Thanks to Flora and Panos.

for me this place was perfect. I was completely charmed by Milos with its rough exotic beauty and cannot wait to return. Flora and Panos -- expect to see me next year. The studios are large and comfortable, clean and well-kept; with kitchenettes usable to do a little cooking. The view was all I could ask for, the balcony overlooked the sea (for contemplation) yet also allowed me to glimpse some some farmers tending their fields.

Not sure why but for me Milos is filled with a sense of mystery, more than other islands even and there's so much to explore.

We stayed at Ippocampos Studios for 6 nights in June. We took studio with sea view, which is a very large room, with equipped kitchenette, (small) bathroom with shower and a balcony with a great view of the sea and Adamas town. Great at sunset, and for our morning breakfast.
Very silent area, as it is about 8 minutes from Adamas city, just in the fields. Papikinou beach at 3 minutes walk. Restaurantes at 4/8 minutes walk. The owner Flora is very kind and helpful, just like her nice friendly son Panos, who gave us perfect suggestion for everything, from car rental, to boat trips and restaurantes...(and local cigarettes!).
They also make transfer to/from port, so we did not bother of anything!
The stay has been so pleasant we certainly return here soon!

Room Tip: Any room is fine, but the room with sea view are fantastic!

This family-run property on the outskirts of Adamas (a little past the Milos Mining museum and a tiny bit inland) is a real find. As others have mentioned, the owners (Flora, her husband, and her son Panos) are just delightful, hospitable people. For example, they did not hesitate to agree to deliver our daily breakfast at 7:30am, which seems to be an early time for the rest of the Greek islands. They also gladly and promptly picked us up from, and delivered us back to, the ferry port in Adamas itself. The studios are clean, well appointed (secure, sturdy doors and a room safe, yay!) and surprisingly spacious, with a kitchenette and indoor table. There's also a balcony with two chairs and a small table for each studio. We took our breakfast onto our balcony every morning and enjoyed looking out into the countryside. (Our neighbours included a small flock of chickens including a rooster that only started to crow at about 8:30am -- whew!) Don't be put off by the 10-15 minute walk into the heart of Adamas -- if you're like us, you'll appreciate being separated from the touristy bits of town and the peacefulness of living among the locals. The nicer of the two Adamas beaches is less than a 5-minute walk, and a little further away from Adamas (along the road toward Kanava Junction) is O Hamos, a taverna recommended in the Rough Guide that we used. We even ambled from the Ippocampos through the countryside up to the spectacularly beautiful Sarakiniko beach, trundling through an orchard and a construction site before picking up one of the main roads. (The walk took only about 30 minutes.) Overall we felt as though Ippocampos was a big part of the magical charm of Milos, which is big enough to have diverse tourist amenities but less frenetic or expensive than places like Mykonos or Santorini. I would totally go back to Ippocampos. (And by the way it was among the best-value places that I've ever stayed.)

Room Tip: We really liked studio no. 10. It's on the upper level and it looks out into the countryside.
