We discovered this bistro while walking around Grainau where we were staying a fews days.
The atmosphere is warm and cozy, feeling very much a local place. The woman who we dealt with on our three visits was very helpful and friendly. She recognised us after the first visit and made us feel very welcome.
The food menu is realistically short, but very good, very German. Fantastic salads too. Proportions are large. Food is freshly prepared and looks/tastes it. While we didn't have drinks there, it looks like a comfortable place to imbibe.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas.
You might want to make reservations for dinner. We were regretfully but understandably, turned away one night. It is a small place, with a limited number of tables. Prices are very reasonable. Ask for English language menu if needed. It helped us out the second time around.
