Rooms are smelly. Linens are spotty. Toilets appear not to be cleaned properly.
Terrace drinking area creates noise and plays loud music well past midnight.
Location is probably the only saving grace.

I liked the interiors of this hotel. It was maintained well. The rooms have DTH with a large choice of channels..something you rarely find in a budget hotel.

There is a terrace bar & restaurant...after a hard days work, there's nothing like a nice drink away from the bustling sounds of the city.

Cheers!!

Kalinga is a centrally located, neat & good hotel. It is well maintained with friendly service. Its location is just off MG Rd & Treasure island mall, i prefer stying here for warm & friendly staff. The room service & restaurant is good & offers lot of local varieties including Punjabi food

one of the worst management hotel in indore. Tiny rooms. The service in rooms by the management is worst. Toilets are fitted with western comodes and it requires ladders to climb. Rooms are dirty and bad smell. Air conditiners are out dated and never gives cooling. TV are ancient models and remotes never works. Totally blunder to stay in this dirty hotel. Becareful to select this hotel

Though the location is good one, the hotel can be considered for an average stay. The room I stayed was small, tightly packed. services found to be O.K. but needs lot of improvement as far as customer satisfaction is concerned especially Cleanliness is concerned.

It can be hard to find a hotel in this price range in many parts of India. It's not one of your $10-$15 a night "I can make do" kind of places, and it's not a full on Western amenities/facilities type place either, which, in Indore, would run you a good $120/nt. This place, I believe, was around $40/nt.

My room was spotless and the service was excellent -- almost (but not quite) obsequious. They arranged for a day trip car and driver to Mandu and a fair price, what I suspect is the oh-so-elusive "Indian Price". The room service food was tasty, and priced not much higher than what it would go for at a "I can make do" hotel. Laundry service was cheap, same day, and executed well. The hotel's fairly new looking, with a flat screen TV and a good & quiet a/c unit.

The location is fair. Not bad, but not great. It's a nice part of town, but off on a side street that doesn't have much going on commercially. That said, there's always rickshaws available, or you can walk ten minutes to loads of stuff in a couple different direction.

The place is classy for these kinds of dollars, and it's not antiseptic like some of the wanna-be Western style chains that are around. I would probably stay here again, but I wish they had in-room wi-fi. If you ask, they let you use the front desk computer to check your email, but otherwise there's no net access whatsoever.
