*The rooms were clean and roomy
*Staff was very friendly
*We paid around $60 a night, which was fair. I don't think it's worth any more than that.
*Breakfast was adequate, but the western breakfast offerings were a little weak. I asked the woman making eggs for an omelette and she just stared blankly at me, so I asked in Chinese and she said they don't have any. When I asked for cold milk for the cereal, she said they don't have any but eventually got us some (with ice in it!).
*Beds were very hard.
*Lobby and breakfast area were pretty cold
*Staff took a while checking in and out. We booked on Expedia and I think they had trouble figuring it out. Not really a big problem.
*We negotiated for a while at the airport and could only get them down to RMB30 for a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel. It's very close and should cost RMB20 or so. Even the police weren't able to help us make the taxi drivers just use the meter.More
