We have just returned from our honeymoon in Morocco and spent the first 5 nights at Domaine Malika. What can we say but fantastic! The setting is fabulous with views over the snow capped high Atlas and everywhere is so tranquil with only the birdsong and sound of running water as you lie by the pool. Easy to while away the days. We had beautiful weather in the high 20s. There is as much or little as you want to do here from varying lengths of walks in the hills, to visiting local markets to relaxing in the hotel's hammam (don't miss this!!).
Paul and his staff are great and cannot do enough for you. Khalid deserves a special mention too.
Food is good sourced from local produce and dinner very relaxing in front of a beautiful log fire at this time of year. Local Moroccan breakfast is good too. And the only decision for lunch is where to sit to eat it.
We will definitely return and Paul deserves the 2013 travellers choice award.

Room Tip: Not sure you would go far wrong with any of the rooms here as all have fabulous views - we had room 2 with a fabulous bath. This hotel does not have a fitness centre but I have marked it as excellent because you can take your exercise in the hills right from the door of the hotel.

We stayed here for two nights after spending a couple of days in the madness of Marrakech.
We hired a cheap car (£50 for 3 days) and had a fun road trip through the Mountains which took us around 90mins, stopping a few times to take photos of the scenery.
We arrived to a slightly confused greeting but were soon welcomed in and shown to our upstairs room, which was nice and large with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and the pool below.
We spent the day by the pool (which isn't heated) with a few drinks and we also walked around the gardens, where the property grows a lot of its own produce, which we enjoyed for the evenings dinner.
There isn't much to do in the area, but this adds to its charm of getting away and relaxing.
The owner Paul and his team are really nice and helpful, they also speak very good English.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing break.

The location is fabulous, the small team of staff couldnt be more helpful and were wonderful. The food is simply delicious cooked with passion and the location is stunning. I had my first Hammam which was full of surprises and thoroughly relaxing and i highly recommended.
We loved it.

This is possibly the most wonderful place I have ever stayed. I simply can not understand why this is not a 5 star. The rooms/pool/views are absolutely out of this world. The manager Paul is possibly the most lovely man I've ever met, as well as all the staff, all going out of their way to help you have the most amazing trip possible. We are already planning our next trip back!

Our tour company booked us in, and what a gem! Paul met us and enthusiastically showed us to our room, and told us about the guest house. We chose to have the tea in our room, very nice too. Our room looked out over the property, pool and olive trees, with mountains behind. Our room was up a few stairs, had roof access where there were lounge chairs and a great view of the stars at night. The room had a large squate tub, nice shower, separate toilet. The bed was very large and comfortable, the pillows were lovely too.
The food was tasty and creatively presented. Quiet jazz accompanied breakfast and dinner. There was a sitting area and a small library with french and a few english books.
We had a hike arranged with mules and a picnic lunch. The guide was informative and matched his pace to ours, and the mules followed. We enjoyed a ride for the last 30 minutes, the mule leaders handled the mules caringly and expertly. After all the driving we were so glad to exercise and get close tomthe scenary.
Malika is in a nice little village, we hope to return, on our own next time.

Room Tip: The first floor opens from a privat deck to the garden and pool. The second floor has a balcony and roof access. All lovely rooms!
