Owner description: Tiger World is an animal conservation and educational center dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, and preservation of exotic animals. We are open to the public for educational guided tours and walkabout self-guided tours. Tiger World is a different kind of Zoo. Our tours personally guide visitors throughout the preserve learning about each animal. You see them in a natural setting and have the opportunity to observe them playing, swimming, eating, sleeping, and interacting with their handlers.

This is a great morning for families of all ages. I've never had the opportunity to be so close to amazing wild beasts. Our son enjoyed the peacock, turtle, and reptile area. Our 3 year-old enjoyed being able to walk instead of being confined by a stroller. We had a stroller for our infant and I wish we had brought our jogger since the trail is a bit rough. There were several shelters that would have been perfect for a picnic lunch.

My family visited Tiger World for the first time 2 years ago, and we've been back about 5 times since. The atmosphere feels like someone's backyard but is teeming with wildlife. Just about every cat you can imagine, and they just received Cheetahs, which is so exciting! The center is run on donations, so they are upgrading as they can, but there has been a lot of construction lately and I'm so happy that the bears are getting a much deserved larger habitat. You really must visit if you get the chance! You are as up-close and personal as possible without being inside the cages. One word of caution... don't tease the baboon. He feels every woman who walks by is HIS female, and every man is his enemy. He gets quite upset.

Went on July 6th, lots of exciting projects in different stages of completion, have been going for three years, this was our 40th visit. If you like big cats this is the place to go.

My family and I visited Tiger World this past Saturday in Rockwell. I whole-heartedly agree about getting there early. We arrived around 10am and the animals were very active. As time passed, I could see them starting to become less so. This place is much smaller than your average zoo so it can be seen easily in one to two hours. We hung around and went back to see some of the animals twice. One baboon was entertaining and at one point picked up his crate and threw it across his cage. He also picked up whatever dirt, mulch he could from around his feet and flung it onto us, all the while screaming and jumping up and down. Unclear exactly what he was upset about (maybe my blue shirt or loud plaid shorts) but it was quite the show...definitely a good story to tell.

Great place for a close up look at the big cats! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and the setting is much more personal and up close than a huge zoo. The staff is there for the love of the animals and it shows!! Great place to spend the morning!
