This is a beautiful state park. They have a variety of short hikes with very nice scenery. My husband and I took the Cedar Creek trail. You hike along a small creek through a forest of mountain laurel and pines. This would be absolutely beautiful hike when the mountain laurel is in bloom! The trail goes passed the an old homestead from 1855 which you can tour. The park staff member is very knowledgeable about the history and up keep of the property. It also offers a great view of Stone Mountain. There are also several other trails which take you to various waterfalls in the park. The trails are well maintained and well marked. The parks offers picnic areas, camping, remote back packing and easy day hikes.
