I travel all over the country and stay in hotels over 250 nights a year and this is the worst place ive ever stayed. The room had a dehumidifier sitting beside the AC. I learned late in the night why. The AC was crazy loud. It didnt blow cool air. The digital controller didnt work so I couldn't turn it off if I wanted to. The AC sweated so much (just like me) the floor was soaking wet. Now I knew why their was a dehumidifier. It was obvious the hotel knew the AC was broke and they put me in the room anyway. I would have paid twice the money to actually be able to sleep in a comfortable quiet hotel room.

My daughter and I went to Raleigh for a Figure Skating competition over the weekend - the staff at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. The room was fresh and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The newly renovated breakfast area was modern and comfortable, and the layout of the food was better for traffic purposes than at some Hampton Inns. They said they are going to renovate the rooms soon, which will fix the only little things I noticed that needed attention - peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, and the shower head could have been a little better. The hotel was extremely convenient to the Raleigh Ice Plex (where my daughter skated), and there were many restaurants and shopping opportunities in this area. The hotel staff was very willing to recommend restaurants and provide directions. When we go back to Raleigh, I would definitely stay there again.

MamaDuck2000,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor.com.

We did just complete renovating all of the common areas and we have every intention of renovating the guestrooms. I am not exactly sure when that will happen but it has been discussed.

We call ourselves "Raleigh's Hidden Treasure" b/c we are off the beaten path and we are centrally located to LOTS of Raleigh's attractions.

We are close to the IcePlex and hope that more people that attend events over there will stay with us.

Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you the next time you come to Raleigh.

Sincerely,

I always stay here when I come to Raleigh NC its nice quiet and clean plus its located near dining, farmers market and other attractions. One of the best things about it is that the hotel renovated recently since my last visit a year and a half ago this was nice to see they increased the size of the dining area as well as the guess area. The staff is helpful especially if Hector or Jamie is there at the front desk. if you go you will have a pleasant stay.

Charles L,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review about our hotel on TripAdvisor.com.

We did just recently renovate all of the common areas in the hotel. We are pleased with the outcome, too.

And you are correct, Jamie and Hector are great employees and it shows every day they are at the property.

Thank you again for the very nice review and we look forward to having you stay with us, again, real soon.

Sincerely,

Great stay with family. Hotel staff extremely accommodating. Family came in from Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and North Carolina to celebrate my Father's Birthday. We all had rooms on the same floor next door to each other.
