Stayed here two nights for a conference at the end of February. Although the corridors were a bit noisy, with sounds penetrating the walls, the room was clean and spacious. The complimentary cocktail hour was just OK. The parking garage was in the back and was OK, but the checkin area was small and got a bit congested. Empty cars were left near the entrance in a narrow area, making it hard to get in the doors. The lobby staff were not the friendliest. Could work on improving customer relations, greet guests with a smile.

Hotel conference room was adequate and served our needs.

We have never had a bad experience with Embassy Suites so it was a no brainer when we had to add a couple of nights on to our vacation and we had points to use. The rooms are a great layout if you have kids, just shut the door to the master and the kids can sleep on the pullout. TVs and sinks in every room, which is convenient. The breakfast is free and there is a free manager's reception every night with complimentary drinks and munchies. This particular hotel was really clean and the staff, especially the front desk and shuttle staff, were very friendly and helpful. The indoor pool and spa were a huge hit with the kids but I think the Macaw Raleigh in the lobby might have stolen the show. We definitely know where we will be staying if we have another stop over in Raleigh!

In town for the weekend and stayed at this property on a Saturday night after attending a birthday party in downtown Raleigh. The hotel was clean and features a spacious lobby. While we were there they had a pet parrot on display. Only one elevator of two was working resulting in very long waits (and an employee getting on to clean the windows while we were riding it). We took the stairs a few times but they are out of the way, cold, and smelled a little like cigarette smoke. The room we stayed in was adequate, but a bit outdated. The wardrobe was a little musty smelling. The mattress was softer than we prefer but we slept fine. The heat worked great. The water in the sink was inconsistent (cold and hot bursts when trying for warm water). A nice feature is the ability to close the bedroom door (separating the bedroom and living room area), providing an extra barrier to the sound coming from the main part of the hotel. We didn't make it to the pool/ hot tub but there were lots of other guests there each time we walked by and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Breakfast on Sunday morning was fine but could have featured more variety in the help-yourself options (ie: I wished there was batter and a waffle iron in addition to toast and cereal, more pastries than just chocolate chip or banana nut muffins, or more fruit besides cantaloupe and honey dew). Also, one of two toasters was broken making wait times a little longer. There was a small hot buffet (eggs, bacon, etc) and an omelette station, but the lines for both were very long and it seemed like they could have used more employees. There is no way to bus your own table (nowhere to put used dishes) so that added to it feeling overcrowded.

In all this stay was just OK. Location was good and there is a parking garage on-site. If we go back we will probably try a different hotel as there are lots in this area.

Enjoyed overall experience. The receptionist was courteous. The atmosphere was breath-taking. The room was clean and the bathroom was inviting. There is a parrot that also makes you feel very welcoming as you are walking by the entrance area. My room was on the 9th floor so the view of the atrium was a joy. At times it can be a bit noisy in the evenings. The Presidential suite was located a couple of doors down the hall from my room and an event had taken place which included smokers. Due to severe allergies, I actually suffered a bit because the smell entered into my room. It would have been nice if a staff member could have closed the door. Once I got off of the elevator, the smell was pretty obvious. I had specifically asked for a no-smoking room and it seemed as if I was in a smoking section. I mentioned it to the receptionist but what can you do, once smoke is in the air, I guess you can't spray it down without suffering from the smell of air freshener and the smoke combination. I still love the place and hopefully can return again soon.

Room Tip: Very convenient to airport and across from large shopping mall.

Stayed here overnight for a shopping trip. Location is fantastic. The rooms were very nice with an ample living room and separate bedroom. The problem is the noise. The center of this 9 (?) story hotel is open with a restaurant at the bottom. The rooms circle around each floor around the open courtyard. Vey pretty, but makes for a very loud hotel. Sound echoes, and in the living room of your suite you can hear everything. The bedroom is fine - no noise, but our 3 year old was woken up by the sound.

Breakfast was good. There is an omelet and pancake station made to order which is nice and lots of tables.

As a team parent, I arrange group block reservations for our team. This hotel was incredibly helpful and friendly. They tried very hard to accommodate our needs, and for that we are truly grateful. We could not have gotten better service. In addition, the hotel is quite comfortable and the rooms are great. It was clean and everyone slept well.

Embassy did a wonderful job holding our small military conference. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is gorgeous and spacious. I like that you don't have long hallways of doors like a "normal" hotel. The managers reception every night was great and we took advantage of the free drinks as well. The morning breakfast was very very good and your omelet ladies should be given a raise ;).
Now for the bad. Unfortunately, there must have been a young children's cheerleading competition either in the hotel or near it because there were tons of them. Not that this is a bad thing, but these kids were running wild all over the hotel. Packs of them would use each floor as a race track and run around the entire thing. The way the hotel is set up, noise echos and travels all over the hotel, no matter what floor you are on. The unchaperoned kids were very very very loud and still out after 11pm. I wanted to call the front desk, but for some reason none of the phones in my room worked. I can't understand why the hotel let these kids run around like that at all hours.

So that is the bad side, sound in this hotel travels. If you are sleeping in the living room area of your suite, you are doomed. Luckily the bedroom had a door you can close and I did not hear much of the commotion.

Room Tip: Our group utilized the "presidents suite" for our hospitality room and unless you need a b...
