“Nice but not the best location”
Reviewed March 17, 2011

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting NC-State; The location is right next to the mall, but on a side street off a 6 lane divided highway right on top of on-ramps for US440. Going to the mall 'next door' for dinner, our GPS took us down a steep one-way street so in need of repair it resembled stairs!! (Better off dodging traffic on the main drag I guess); There's also no sign for this hotel on the main street so it could be hard to find if you don't know where you're going, and there's an abandoned hotel right next to it that you see first that gave me the willies, but also made this one look like an oasis in the desert. Be careful of the sheet of directions they give you for local attractions because it uses old route names and needs to be updated. Also, there's room service at the hotel, but our room had a big empty space where I would think a table and chairs should go -- were we missing furniture or something? Kinda weird. Best feature: 24 hour Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby!

This has slipped in recent years to a very mediocre hotel. On the plus side-- great location, with many good restaurants, shopping, etc close by. Adequate parking. Free Starbuck's coffee. Clean and fairly quiet. Negatives- Sleep was disturbed by bright, blinking light on smoke detector. A previous guest had even put a few tissues over it-- it wasn't just me! I could not get a wireless connection, and I never have this problem at other hotels. Tried to check out at 7:00AM, waited at counter for TEN minutes-- no one ever showed up! I finally just threw my room keys on the inner counter and walked out. There are better values in the Crabtree area.

This Marriott is a little hard to find, but it was worth it! It was a little less money than the Marriott directly across from the Crabtree Valley Mall. The rooms were nice and roomy and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We stayed here on our way to the beach in NC and will definitely stay here again next year!

So close to the mall and the airport! it provides a shuttle as early in the morning as you need. You have easy access to one of the best malls in North carolina and the sleep is amazing! beds are so comfortable! Nothing bad to say about this wonderful hotel!

Check in was fast. Room was close to front door. Hotel is very close to large mall with many restaurants. Only problem was finding the hotel but that is due to the city of Raleigh not allowing hotel signs to guide your way. Stayed in this hotel first and night last of my trip due to it being close to the airport. The last night, my friend had allergic reaction to feathers in the pillows. Make sure the hotel knows if you or your family has feather allergy so they can keep those pillows away.

The Staff went above and beyond, James the driver, Ivonne the Catering Director, the night chefs, we were amazed of how well they treated us and the other quests staying there for our friend's wedding. The staff was simply wonderful and the food was great. We highly recommend this hotel. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, we couldn't of ask for a better experience. There also was a convention in town however my husband and I received special care though is was a crowded weekend.

I thought I would drop a note regarding my stay at this hotel last night. I must compliment the staff. The young fellow working the front desk Wednesday evening (forgot his name) was extremely helpful, very cheerful and seemed to genuinely like his job. Same can be said for the breakfast lady and morning front desk staff. On top of that, you still deliver papers to the guest rooms. That in its self is worth the price of admission. Raleigh is not currently on my travel route (this was a special trip) but it looks like it will be in the not too distant future. When that happens this hotel will definately be where I stay. I would recommend this place to anyone visitng the Raleigh area.
