Of course it is not fair to compare Brasa with the top Brasilian steakhouses in the country, much less with those in Brasil. But it is located in Raleigh....and for Raleigh, it is not bad.

As with all churrascarias, be mindful of the salad/buffet bar. It is pretty good, but you can easily get filled up on it, and end up not eating much meat. It can easily turn into an expensive night of eating at a salad bar, rather than a steak house.

If you order the meat service, the waiters will come around and offer you pieces of different meat cuts (chicken, pork, beef) and even grilled pineapple. The quality and taste is slightly above average.

The staff is not particularly friendly. "Customer in - Customer out" mentality. Not rude, but nothing special. Friendlier service at the deli across the street. One question....why is it so dark inside?

In sum, if you have never been to a Brasilian steakhouse, you will enjoy it. If you have been before, taper your expectations.

This restaurant has a great ambient. The food is delicious. I found 11 of the 13 cuts to be excellent. The salad bar was outstanding. Finally, the service was flawless and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely be returning. Make reservations at this restaurant as it is very popular.

We arranged a last minute company holiday party at Brasa. The events coordinator was lovely to work with, the staff was very attentive, and the private room was incredible. This was not your ordinary banquet hall -- Brasa had lovely decor, nice mood lighting, and neat music. The food was good and plentiful and the presentation was incredible. While I have to admit that I have enjoyed the meat more at different Brazilian restaurants, the taste and quality was still above average and very good. The format of a Brazilian steakhouse added just a little bit more of a uniqueness to a corporate event than just a typical catered dinner. I would certainly encourage you to consider this place for not only a business function, but for a special evening out.

I hosted a dinner party for 8 at Brasa. The decor is nice enough and they had a 3 piece jazz band playing in the bar. What did not impress me was the quality of the food. I have been to a number of churrascarias in Brazil. Brasa falls far short. The salad bar was acceptable but for $50 per person I would expect something better than Golden Corral. The meats were ordinary, no game animals or alligator. Chicken hearts was is wild as it got. The servings were in my opinion skimpy. We had three bottles of wine. Two were fine and one not very good. For the price I think there are much better offering in Raleigh.

$20. Brunch. It was good, but i don't know if it was worth that. I enjoyed the buffet more then the meat that they served on the skewered. The best thing on the buffet was the whiskey chicken.
