Was visiting Raleigh with friends and we agreed to meet here. It offers several places to dine, from sidewalk tables, tables indoors, bar, and rooftop dining. We opted for the rooftop dining and despite the midday sun found it to be a great view and experience. The menu items were good and reasonably priced. The place seems rather large and I can imagine it being a great place to meet for dinner and drinks in the evening. The location and atmosphere really make the place.

Love this place it like being in the village in NYC. All the food is great & you should try everything. Fantastic selection of beers.

First of all, the interior is really neat: old timbers, restored buildings and tall ceilings. I'm pretty sure that everything (except the napkins and silverware ;-) is homemade on the premises.

We had three children in tow and we asked if they had a kids menu, to which they responded "If we have the ingredients, we'll make whatever you want!"

We had fish tacos, fully loaded cheeseburger, veggie burger, fish and chips, and grilled cheese. The potato chips and fries are hand cut and crazy good. They serve a buttermilk ranch dressing that is to die for.

The three kids have their food "two thumbs up" and demolished the generous serving of french fries.

The adults played "pass the plate" as we sampled each others meals, declaring that there is no way that ALL the food could be equally fantastic - but it was. There was a wide variety of beer available as other reviewers mentioned.

There are a few tables on the sidewalk but also ample seating inside the four connected buildings that make up the restaurant.

An absolute MUST for your visit to Raleigh.

If you're ONLY into "big brewery" advertised-on-NASCAR-hood-light beers, this may not be your place. Beer selection constantly changing and wide variety to satisfy most people, but have to willing to go outside the box a little. Food is upscale pub food. Very tastey, especially after few beers. But real attraction is the beer and the cool people who flock here. Not pretentious or "in-the-know" or anything, just seem like really cool, easy going, out to have nice relaxed time with friends crowd. Can sit outside on sidewalk or the new rooftop (it's been closed last few times there as too cold and rainy).
