A very happy random pick for a meal... Thursday night jazz was very good and the general buzz in the restaurant was happy people. No idea if the food is authentic cajun... but it is good and the options were well explained. service good and not intrusive, recommend the crime brûlée with grand marnier ...

I'm probably too easy to please, but the salmon with brown sugar and cajun spices rub was fine (but not especially hot) and the Bad Penny Brown Ale was delicious. I was there at a quiet time before First Friday happenings got going. Service was fine, nothing special. I ate outside.

food was mediocre. Staff did not want to be there. A manager stood at the table beside us for at least 15 minutes explaining to another customer how a manager from another restaurant had come in and atken most of their bar glasses and borrowed food. Our server just looked at us when she came to the table, didn't say hello, introduce herself or ask what we wanted. Just walked up and stood there.Wow!..first and last visit to this place. nice building, good music, horrible staff! please hire a manager that cares about their customers, without us, shut the doors.

Been there twice. Once when it first opened and then again this summer. Menu looks authentic, but doesn't taste authentic.

The Big Easy features a fun atmosphere/concept, and consistently good Lousiana food that you rarely find in the area. I especially love the Louisiana pretzel (a large pretzel covered in crab-parmesan dip), and alligator bites. Bananas foster and salads are good as well. I recommend the "Taste of Lousiana" entree for a small cup of red beans and rice, jambalaya, and gumbo with alligator bites on the side.
