“Billy Joel Concert”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

The Arena was a nice venue for the concert. We were shuttled there from our hotel so we didn't have to worry about parking. We were there a while before the doors opened but it wasn't cold out and there was a radio show live near the door that was playing Billy Joel songs and had the crowd participating with Karaoke. The concession stands were nicely situated. The ladies' room often had lines - I don't know if there are enough restrooms to accommodate large crowds, especially from a female point of view. The seats we paid for - mid-range - would have been less in Cleveland, Ohio, for as bad as they were, but I don't know if that was PNC's fault. The sound was great and I would drive another 500 miles for a Billy Joel concert.

“Horrible place for a concert”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

Good venue for NC State basketball and Carolina Hurricanes games but not for a concert. I attended the Billy Joel concert on Feb. 9. The main road (Edwards Mill) was closed to traffic (for traffic control issues) so traffic was re-routed to a grass and gravel field. Parking for the concert was $20 per car! The rows are so close together, it is not very comfortable. Acoustics are not great. I recommend the DPAC or Walnut Creek for concerts.

Loved the arena! There are several places to get food and beer so they don't get as crowded as other venues.

“Pleasant hockey xperience”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

I visited the PNC Arena for a Hurricanes vs. St. Louis Blues hockey game.
Access to the arena is easy and close to the highway, parking is abundant. Entrances to the arena are easy locatable and plenty, so there were no pre-game lines. Stores with team clothing and memorabilia are on the average a bit smaller than in bigger arenas, but still big enough to offer plenty of products to choose from. Food and drink vendors were abundant and one doesn't need to walk far inside the arena to find one.
Overall a good experience. If you like hockey go for it.
We are not Hurricanes' fans (go KINGS !) but since we live in NC we might as well give some support to the only NHL team in the state as well.

“Penguins Hockey Game”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

Went here because my favorite team, The Penguins were playing against the Hurricanes. Nice arena, seating was not bad in the upper level. It is easily navigable around the food area and restrooms. They have a good selection of food as well. I had the chicken fingers and fries. A lot of people complain about the food prices, but what sporting event are they not high?
