I wanted to take someone on a romantic date that he would always remember. I discovered St. Jacques French Cuisine in Raleigh. From the moment we walked in the door, we were impressed which turned into enchantment as the evening wore on. It's a small, intimate restaurant where the staff is hospitable and the atmosphere exudes elegance without being "stuffy" - as though you've been invited to someone's home. The food was sinfully good, prepared and presented with such love and care as to make us close our eyes and quietly hum. From the amuse bouche straight through to the desert our palates were subjected to culinary delights that we will cherish forever. Thank you St. Jacques for a romantically marvelous and EXQUISITE experience!

Had high expectations for Saint Jacques and I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. Other reviewers are correct, the location does not match the experience once you're inside. This is a five-star restaurant in both food and service. The wait staff was so attentive, they brought out dark napkins to replace the white ones at our table (so I would not get white lint on my black dress). The owner checked on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal and our waiter had several excellent recommendations. One note for any vegetarians who are concerned about the lack of options on the published menu. There is a separate vegetarian/vegan menu that has lots of great choices. Highly recommend both the Pesto Risotto and Butternut Squash Ravioli.

What a great change of pace! My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time. A leisurely lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This is a lovely intimate little restaurant, the food is outstanding, the service warm and friendly.

I had french onion soup, followed by pate and salad...just like being back in Provence. Great wine list.

Treat yourself! This restaurant is definitely worth the visit. We will be going back!

In a small strip mall in Raleigh lives a little piece of France! Lil and Lorrie (owners) are involved in every level of detail from their personal hello to their goodbye, from the menu to the wine, including their personal level of service to ensure your satisfaction and enjoyment.

The food is at a minimum, outstanding! Lil's description of any menu item will not only get your mouth watering but will bring you back again and again because only the food is better than the description. The menu changes with seasons so variety will never be an issue. Wine is perfectly French and they will help you with pairings because every wine is personally selected and can be described with precision.

Pricing is on the higher side but you are not only paying for the food, you are paying for the service and the experience and the overall event renders the evening "well worth it all"!!
