Well sad to say but it looks like West Raleigh's only "meat and 2 vegetables"-type (country) resturant has grown complacent with being busy and has lost its quality...(the mac and cheese is horrid)
We have been going there from time to time for years, and had found it pretty good for its category of country-food. But not anymore, the last three times in a row the quality has been very low...We cant tell if its the cook or the products being used that has changed...but its not up to par anymore and we have found issues with both preperation and products...not too sure we will keep trying again or not....

Pam's is not gone. It shares the building with the very popular Goat which is open when Pam's is not. Best biscuits and red eye gravy in Raleigh. Fantastic, friendly staff. Pam's is in the old Neptune's seafood building, very clean and well-kept. Hotcakes are enormous, think twice about how many you want.

Visited these find folks three days in a week. twice for lunch and once for breakfast. The food was well prepared, fresh and a plate full. If you leave hungry it is your fault. The staff is very friendly and the locals are treated like family. A good American experience.

My wife and I and other family members recently started going to Pam's for breakfast and lunch every so often. It is the kind of place that has brains and eggs on the menu. This is nothing fancy about it. It is like a diner but in run down building. A recent reviewer stated Pam's is gone. It is not gone. It shares a building with The Goat (a bar). Pam's has limited hours and does not take credit cards. If you are in the area and want a true southern breakfast, this is a good place to go.
