“Nice and quiet!”
Reviewed November 11, 2009

Food was good, not the rave that others have written, but good. I felt the service was skimpy, especially since the place was pretty empty, but I find that's the case at a lot of place when I travel for business to RTP and eat alone. There's something to ignore when a woman is alone. But I liked that the place was quiet, the food was fresh, and the price was reasonable. I will go again when I find myself in RTP the next time.

“Wondeful food, great lunch”
Reviewed May 28, 2009

This is a great lunch place. It's got a cute store attached, and you may have to wait for a seat in the small, but worth the wait, restaurant. The offerings are unique and change regularly. Their brie and mango salsa foccacia was excellent. I've never had a bad meal here. The service can be a little slow and short, but that's because it's busy. Definitely worth trying.

“If I could eat every single meal here, I would! Zest is incredible!”
Reviewed March 12, 2009

From the title, it should be clear that I love Zest Cafe. I eat there at least 2x/week and because of their changing menu each month, I rarely eat the same thing twice! Plus, their brunch, lunch, and dinner menus are all equally sensational--I have truly NEVER had a bad meal there. Furthermore, the fact that there is a wonderful boutique-y shop attached to the restaurant where you can browse if there's a wait for your table is icing on the cake.

The 3-4 servers are all so accommodating and sweet that it really is impossible Not to love them too. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and if there is one place that you visit while in North Carolina, Zest should definitely be it!

Some of my personal fav's:
Brunch--the frittata du jour or their infamous Grilled Salmon salad with roquefort, walnuts, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. (available on all menus but on Sundays, it comes with cornbread (yay!!) instead of the typical foccaccia.

Lunch: The awesome quesadilla (truly awesome with poblano peppers, sweet potatoes, and chicken), any of their freshly made soups (one vegetarian and one meat/day), or the grilled turkey burger with smoked gouda and a chipotle ketchup served with their amazing honey poppyseed slaw (no mayo--just vinaigrette goodness). Don't forget their house raspberry iced tea!

Dinner: Baked brie with mango and peach chutney, the "CC chicken" (cashew encrusted with sweet potato fritters and veggies, any fish dish, or their ravioli du jour.

Dessert: Pineapple cake! (Super moist with the tastiest cream cheese frosting imaginable).

Hungry yet? :)

Love Zest, especially for brunch. They also have an amazing bakery. Only drawback is that service is slow at times, but friendly.
