I've been going here for years for breakfast on the weekends. It's food like you would make at home, and cheap to boot. I usually get either plain hotcakes or raspberry hotcakes and scrambled eggs. The hotcakes taste like normal pancakes, not the overly processed sugary crap you get at IHOP or Waffle House. The eggs are cracked and cooked right then, not from a premixed vat that they spoon out onto the grill. The clientele is easily the most diverse in all of Raleigh - you see a little bit of everything at Finch's. Old people, young people, pierced hungover people, people all dressed up from church -- they all come to Finch's for breakfast. Everything's delicious. Don't expect fancy decor - this place probably was decorated in the 60s or 70s and hasn't changed since, but that's part of the charm!
