“OK I guess, extremely spicy”

I know thai is supposed to be hot but it seems like they went out of their way to make the food hot so you didn't know if the underlying dish was good or not.

“Solid Thai and Asian cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2011

We wanted a dinner out and our son had asked for a specific restaurant in the Brier Creek area. When his choice and our second choice proved to have waits of over an hour, we elected to try Champa Thai on a whim. It was a good experience overall, other than occasionally waiting for our server.

We ordered Thai dishes which were all right -- I've had richer, more flavorful pad see-yew elsewhere -- to excellent; my husband cleaned his plate of curry and our son loved his pad thai and ate leftovers of it for two days. We did not order sushi, but did get a chance to see one of their specials for large groups: sushi for eight or more people served on a large model boat in an impressive display.

It is a fairly small restaurant and not being crowded offered a restful and intimate atmosphere. I would consider this a good date restaurant. All in all, we will go again.
