“Steak at it's finest..”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

I enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Barn on a sunday evening. It is vital to book, as it was rammed full for families enjoying themselves. The decor is an assault on the senses - every spare bit of wall has something adorning it, but it adds the experience. Pre food, we had a drink and chips with different dips, pickles, olives, as much as you can eat. However save room, as the meals are marvellous. The steaks are so so tender, very generous portions, cooked to perfection (I like mine rare and it was sliceable with a butter knife), great sides, salads and bread. It is a little expensive, but you know you've paid for quality. The service is attentive and enthusiastic, in line with so many places in the US. How I wish the UK would follow suit. The desserts looked fabulous, but a combination of too much steak and jetlag meant that I saw but did not indulge. If you like meat and you are in Raleigh, there is no better place to eat.

“Great Dining Experience”

The food is wonderful accompanied by cheese and crackers. The service is outstanding and the restaurant goes way out of its way to ensure one has a memorable dining experience.

“One of the best ever”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

I visited the Angus Barn for the first time last month and I must say it was one of the best meals I had in my life! Our reservation was for 8:15 and we were promptly seated at that time! The cheese and crackers were amazing, as well as the giant salad. Of course, the best part was the Prime Rib - as Homer Simpson would say, *drools*. I can't wait to go back!

“Big steake”

This is a restaurant that really take care of its customers. Even during a power failure they continued to serve. I also recommend a tour in the vin cellar.

“One of a Kind”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

This is one of the most unique restaurants in the country, the atmosphere is really hard to beat. From the old west style gun collection, to the Cigar Den style Wild Turkey Lounge, or the odd rear staircase that transports you through the kitchen to get to the outdoor fire pit lounge area - - this place has it all...not bad for a "Barn"!
Give yourself a lot of time, the dinners are historically long, at least a couple of hours. The prices are in line with the upper end steak houses, even though the quality isn't as high as those well known places. But the difference is in the unique experience, and they also provide appetizers such as to-die-for cheese and crackers.
