Description: A "just inside the beltline" neighborhood establishment where every morsel achieves that elusive, cuisine-defining balance of sweet, salty, and sour - even dessert. Our serving style is 'morsels' which are portions between appetizers and entrees. We rotate new seasonal selections to our menu, but keep our favorites available all the time. Check out our feature daily veg dish on our chalkboard or as a server for details. Our wine is carefully selected to pair appropriately with each morsel dish. At Taste, you'll also have access to our owner's private wine reserve. Our craft beer selection is like going to your favorite bottle shop and yes, we have rotating drafts! Come see us tonight. Taste is part of a locally owned and operated restaurant group: JMR Kitchens.

“Cozy neighborhood restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

Taste is a cozy, welcoming place with great food and great service. Luckily for me, its in my neighborhood! It is "american tapas" so it has small plates. We love this as we get to try a number of dishes, or just have a bite, depending on whether we have dropped in for a drink and one plate, or a full meal. Also, when we take the kids, we don't have to get them large, expensive plates that they don't finish. The plates are well priced too, and the food is great, fresh and local. Often neighbors bring food from their gardens that are used in the dishes!

The bar is great too, as they infuse vodkas with fresh fruit, so have a changing menu of martinis, as well as a great selection of wine and beer, including many local craft brews.

Defintately a nice place to visit if you are a local or a visitor, as you will feel right at home.

I was in Raleigh on business last week and sound this wonderful restauraunt. I was delighted by the atmosphere and great drink specials. The staff was so freindly. I felt like a regular on my first visit. This off the beaten path restaurant is obviously a go to for the neighborhood. Next time I'm in Raleigh I'll definetly go back!
