“Ignored by waiter”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

Just went to eat here for restaurant week. Our waiter made us feel very rushed as soon as we sat down. After the main course, we sat for over 30 minutes hoping for his return so we could order dessert/drinks. And before we were done he was pushing for us to pay our check. Seriously rude.
The food here is good, not great. But the service last night was so bad that I doubt I'll return.

“Very Good”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

New Favorite! Pleasant staff, good ambiance, and great authentic food. Authentic menu and perfect portions. We shared a serving of Samosas, each had a Lentil Soup and shared the salad. Yum! Yum!!!

“Great ambiance and variety on menu”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Went for dinner with another couple who recommended this restaurant. Loved the colorful wall decor behind the bar and the water fall at the entrance. Indian music in the background. Server was attentive and well dressed. I ordered the nargisi kofta, which was vegetable dumplings in a creamy red sauce. I liked it mild but they have 5 levels of heat. They offer a variety of breads with the meal and the rice was nicely seasoned. Nice variety of meats (lamb, goat and chicken) and nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Large selection of wine and mixed drinks. Very convenient location around a lot of other restaurants and paid parking on sidewalks and parking lot right in front of the restaruant.

“Not very good..”
Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

We went on 31st, so there was a lot of rush, which affected the quality of our food perhaps. We sat on the bar and the bartender made a valiant effort to get our orders in time, so all credit to him. But the dishes were over salted, under cooked and could have been better. We went with high hopes, but perhaps at the wrong time of the year.

“No spice to it...”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

This is a pretty trendy place for an Indian restaurant in Raleigh, however the food does not live up to the expectations. There is hardly any flavor to the dishes. Some of the dishes that our group ordered were decent, most of them lacked flavor. I wouldn't completely rule this restaurant out, the chef is very friendly the staff not so much. The drinks were pretty good at this place, not your usual watered down cocktails. Like it has been said before if you are trying Indian food for the first time, this is a good first step to it.
