“Great Location-Spacious, Clean Room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

I stayed at the Hyatt over the weekend as I was in town for track and field events taking place at N.C. State. I had made special requests for extra pillows and a higher floor level, which were met and ready for me when I arrived to my room. The rooms are nice and spacious, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the large walk-in shower and thought it was great that a regular-size hairdryer was already provided. The flat screen t.v. that you could swivel to face the sitting area or the bed was fantastic, not to mention the up-to-date outlets that allow you to hook up a dvd player or game system if you so choose. In addition, the location was great--right near the highway for easy access and about 15 minutes away from Downtown Raleigh nightlife (without having to pay for the more expensive Downtown hotels). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because noises are still relatively audible through the walls (i.e. running water from other rooms) and there was a couple who was yelling and screaming at each other either above me or below me, early one morning for a solid two hours. Of course, this was not the hotel's fault but it did make for a restless morning as I am a light sleeper. My recommendation for light sleepers is to bring an mp3 player that you can plug into the radio in the room that provides white noise. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again...just on the top floor next time :)

This hotel is a great place to stay all around. I stay at hotels every week and this one ranks up there with the best of them. The staff is extremely nice and helpful! For example, the airlines lost my baggage and they found me a razor, shaving crime ,a toothbrush etc... They really care about their guests! The rooms were nice and clean!very highly recommended hotel if staying in Raleigh!

Our stay was amazing!! Hotel is beautiful in a convenient location to the Interstate. Amenities, including the airport, are not far away (airport is about 8 minutes). The room was nice and spacious, although the bathroom was a bit too small for me. The shower and toilet are in a separate area from the sink, but is almost like a stepsaver.

The bed was SO comfortable! And having a fridge in the room was an added bonus. Also, to have a small sitting area with ottoman was a nice touch. The only thing I would really change is not having two t.v.'s in the room since the two areas have to share one t.v.

The complimentary breakfast and wi-fi are also a very nice amenity. My only request would be for more gluten free items - I could only eat the fruit. Perhaps some meat that is not already prepared on bread would be a nice addition.

This hotel is an excellent option when looking for a place to stay in the Raleigh area and you don't have to be downtown. The rooms are huge and very well appointed. I was even able to hook my laptop to the TV and use it as a giant monitor to finish up some work for a presentation. The hotel also offers two queens instead of two doubles, plus a huge pull-out sofa. The morning breakfast was filling and overall the staff was very friendly. This hotel is highly recommended!

This is new construction for Hyatt Place (HP), not a re-brand from the old AmeriSuites. So it's even nicer than the other HP's in the Triangle. Everything is still new and sparkly, and there are a few touches that reflect the more recent hotel plans. I like the new bathrooms (shower not tub, plus better lighting). Common areas like PC's, Bar, and meeting rooms are nicer than other HP's too.

Everything good to expect from a HP. Big rooms, good bedding, decent coffee.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful too. All-around great stay. I'll be back!

Beautiful hotel...foyer, breakfast area, and room were simply gorgeous.

PROS: spacious room (at least 50% larger than other rooms in which I've stayed), very professional and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, great fitness center, business computer space (with three computers), comfortable couch in room, located right off I-40 (very convenient to downtown and area attractions).

CONS: no microwave in room, no room service (24/7 menu, but have to go down to pick up food), closet space in queen room was small and a bit awkward to use, no convenient table/space to eat (couch was comfortable, but small glass table was a bit limiting), pillows went flat (soft, but needed to stack a couple for sleeping).

Overall, very good stay. Well worth the $$.

I have said this in previous reviews... but I think it should be said again.

WAY TO GO HYATT!!! In the limited service hotel market, you have the market nailed perfectly.

With two minor exceptions, and that's the price of meals. (Other than breakfast, because Breakfast is free). And the smell of the room - the rooms always smell just a little mildewy/moldy. I don't know why - but it isn't an overwhelming smell - just enough to think 'EWW' for the first few minutes you are in the room. It goes away, or I get used to it - not sure which one. BUT, those are the only two critiques I have.

That's it, only critiques I have for the entire brand!

This hotel concept is exactly what that average business traveler needs, plus more. Then beyond business stays, the hotel is perfect for couples looking for a weekend away, perfect for families, perfect for groups.

The rooms are gigantic, very comfortable, and a retreat from the hustle and bustle of life on the road. For business travelers the desk is there, the slide under table is there for the sofa, and the ottoman is on wheels... so you can move it where you want it....with your feet!

I have been in a travel intensive job for nearly 6 years now, and I wish I had discovered Hyatt Place hotels 6 years ago.

The breakfast offerings are ALWAYS fantastic, well prepared, and delicious. The breakfast area is stylish and always so well kept. Spotless, well stocked, and inviting!

I will continue to stay at Hyatt Place hotels, and any time I am in the area - I will stay here so long as the rate is in my budget!
