NCMA is a jem! Start with a brisk walk in the sculpture garden, then stroll around the new building whose exterior changes as you perspective varies. Really terrific architecture here!
The museam's permanent collection is impressive. Don t miss the gift shop or Iris, the venue cafe.
Enjoy!

We love this museum, but usually spend our time there enjoying the outdoor areas. It's a great place for a walk or bike ride on the trail. Excellent windy area for kite flying! We (mom & kids age 6, 10 & 12) bring a picnic lunch often and enjoy the outdoor art features.

A cost free Raleigh gem and a great way to spend the afternoon. Plenty of outdoor space for kids to run around.

Met some family here to spend a few hours. The artwork was eclectic and fun with a number of interactive exhibits. Loved the silver metal tree in the courtyard

My husband, son and I visited the museum on a Friday and it was very busy. School field trips, mom's with babies in strollers and tourists like us. I was surprised at the size and sophistication of the collection! I would definitely recommend this museum to anybody in the area.
