“Nasty, water bugs, dead bugs dirty”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I stayed here because my condo had flooded, I stayed here for 27 days, it was a nightmare I moved to 3 different rooms, the only reason, I stayed because my daugther was car pooling and we had to be in a centeral location. This place was dirty, the clean staff was a joke, I was very disappointed and then I found out they were not giving the triple points for the month of Sept. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Room Tip: don't stay here

Stayed here about 4 weeks ago. Room was not what I would call spic and span clean, but clean enough and spacious. After we checked in I noticed two eyes under the desk were watching me, as I got closer it was the biggest roach I have ever seen. This bad boy was at least 4 inches long and then he charged me. I ended up grabbing a glass off the table and throwing it at him. The glass landed on top of Kong the roach and I had him trapped. I did not want my kids or wife to see the roach so I put him outside the room (still trapped in his glass).

On the plus side, the free breakfast is really good and the restaurant next door was good as well. The staff is nice and I like the location. The negatives are that the rooms could be cleaned a little more thoroughly and they need to get an exterminator in pronto. The only way a roach can get that big is if he has a very long lifespan.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not have a huge roach that stalks and charges you.

Staff is VERY friendly--you can tell this is a focus here--from front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast attendant EVERYONE is pleasant and helpful. Suite was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, though nothing out of the ordinary. Overall the property is beginning to show some signs of age but nothing too major. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. You are correct that staff friendliness is a part of our service that we focus on daily. Our goal is to treat our guests the way we would want to be treated when we travel. We understand that travel is often stressful and challenging. We certainly try to minimize this and want to make our hotel your "home away from home". We are glad that you would like to stay here in the future, we look forward to serving you and your family!

This place is hard to find even with GPS.. We were not charged price quoted had to renegotiate for correct price. The room we were give had smokers in it , made me sick, I hate the smell of smoke, it was there last room. So they said. The carpets smell, not the typical quality I expect for the price. Parking lot not well lighted. The morning breakfast was excellent, it was ready early at 6 am. The only bright side of the stay. This hotel is located close to a large mall if you like to shop, but well off the beaten path of rt 85 or 40. Not worth the distance to find.

Room Tip: Check you room 1st before check in

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We apologize that your guest room had a smell of smoke to it. It is very important to us that our guests have a fresh smelling suite. We have reviewed our non-smoking suites to ensure that we provide this to all of our guests. Our location is often noted for being very central to many of the main roads through Raleigh. I-40 can be accessed within 5 miles of the hotel. Even closer is the I-440 "Beltline" which is just 1 mile from the hotel. Many find this to be a convenient highway to use to access different parts of Raleigh. Thank you again for your feedback, we appreciate it very much and will use your comments to target specific items that will improve all of our guest's experience at the hotel.

NIce size room with kitchen. Loved the fact it had a balcony(a chair would of been nice). Outdoor pool needs more lounge chairs to accomodate us customers. Another issue your customer service should relay to incoming check in's is if there room is smoking or non smoking!

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the size of the guest room and the balcony. Other guests have noted that the balcony is a nice feature to go along with the rest of the room. We will also use your comments to examine adding furniture to the pool and the balcony. This feedback will assist us in improving the hotel for all guests. Thank you again for taking the time to review our hotel. We look forward to serving you in the future!

The laundry facilities are in dire need of new appliances. Please replace the washers and dryers. My son referred to them as "ghetto" and sadly, he was right. The kitchens could use Keurigs instead of the old coffee makers. They need to post the hours for breakfast in the rooms. Also the carpet in our room was in desperate need of cleaning or being replaced. They really need to invest more money back into their facilities.

The proximity to the mall is great and the area itself is very quiet. They also have free WIFI which is a bonus. We are here to return our son to NCSU and needed a place that could hold 4 people in one room and that would take Hilton points. We have been living in Japan for the past 2 years and the quality of service and facilities over there far exceeds what is given in the U.S.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are currently in the preparation phase of improving some of the areas you noted. We look forward to upgrades in the very near future that will address this and we are sure that you will enjoy our hotel even more after completion. The complimentary guest room wireless internet is an example of a completed upgrade that many of our guests currently enjoy. We switched to the most modern system available this year and have received very positive feedback on the speed and ease of connectivity. We are glad that it helped you and also happy that our location was so convenient to the Crabtree Mall for you to visit. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to serving you in the future.

We always stay here when visiting Raleigh. Great location, walking distance to good restaurants, walking distance to City exercise paths, amazing free hot breakfast, and evening cocktail hour with food enough to make a meal. The place is always quiet and the staff friendly. Not the cheapest in the hotel row near Crabtree Valley Mall, by any means, but for comfort, meta., it's worth it. Only negative is some of the carpeting, etc. is getting a little worn in places, and there are no black out curtains if you are unlucky enough to get a room with a street light shining in your window at night!
