“Great beer, great view, TERRIBLE service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

I've eaten at Boylan Bridge several times with very average service, but the last time was so bad I would NEVER go back. I has here with my wife and another couple for lunch on a Saturday - the service was below average to begin with (didn't have the first two items we ordered, ordered a third and told us they ran out around 30 minutes later) but took it to a whole new level after we didn't receive our food for MORE THAN 90 MINUTES! We rarely saw the waitress - I went to the manager, who also happened to be the owner, and he said we would have to 'deal with it' and 'it's not our fault we can't get more food delivered'

Terrible experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

“Not what we expected”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

Was disappointed in the atomsphere as well as the service. We tried to sit outside, only to be "chased" in by some huge bugs! They were landing on the food and drinks, was not good. The service left a lot to be desired, even though they appeared to be well staffed.

“Simple atmosphere and good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012 via mobile

Deck eating with great view of downtown. Service is simplistic so don't expect to overwhelmed. Great meeting place for friends, or in our case family including son and his girlfriend who are State students.

Food is very good. Onion rings are best in Raleigh IMO. Asian chicken wrap is very filling and comes with a spicy sauce that is good on the onion rings too. Price is reasonable and portion size plentiful. Son had Mac & cheese with pimentos which he liked.

Brews are made in house so plan on various degrees of hoppiness.

“Good food, great view, eh beer”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

This is our second time visiting Boylan Bridge and both experiences were similar. The service and food are fine and the view is great, but for a Brewpub, the beers just don't cut it. The Pullman Porter is decent, with some nice chocolate and coffee overtones, though it is a little over hopped for a Porter.
On the plus side, they now have a "guest" tap, so there is another option. When we were there, my local favorite, Lonerider Sweet Josie, was on tap.

I ordered the asian wrap, which was good, but it was loaded with a very sweet dressing. The flavor of it was good, there was just too much for my liking. My entree was ordered with potato fires, while my wive ordered the sweet potato fries with hers. Both of our fries were cooked perfectly.

We sat on the patio on a nice evening before a concert and it is a beautiful view of the city skyline.
