My daughter and I went on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation. The wait was over 1 hour, but the food and service was definitely worth the wait. We had the pumpkin bread for an appetizer and it melted in our mouth. The brisket was cooked to perfection along with the collards and the mashed potatoes. My daughter had the ribs and she loved them too. The portions were just the right size. The waitstaff was very attentive and professional. I would definitely recommend The Pit to anyone who loves good southern cooking.
