Really liked the attention to detail. Only DC has anything to rival the museums in Raleigh on the East coast. Must also go through the IMAX theatre. We could have stayed overnight at one of a number of 3-4 star hotels nearby and gone a second day.

Various specimens and educational materials. My 5 year old was enthralled by the dinosaurs and the activities. Combine this with the Marbles Children's museum (a few blocks away) and you have a perfect "Kid Day" for your young ones.
Also, if you are not a kid the Natural Science Museum is really cool to check out... I mean you can get your picture taken with a stuffed beaver, what more can you ask for?

This is the best art museum between DC and Atlanta, with consistently outstanding exhibits.
