We stayed in this hotel over the Thanksgiving , weekend. The room was spotless (appeared to recently have been updated). Nice linens, extra touches - microwave, fridge, coffee station,Free wi-fi., Nice complimentary breakfast (they even provided me with a tray so I could take it up to the room to my husband). Location was convenient. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. One downside, the walls seem to be paper thin - you could here people talking in the room next door and of course the TV.

I had specificalyl requested a low fllor room away from the elevator, so they gave me a 3rd floor room right next to the elevator, which is bizarre considering I booked and made this request a long time before. Even if they allocate rooms that day, you would have though one room in the whole hotel would have been away from the elvator!
Breakfast was pretty dismal - apples and bananas ran out. Coffee was surprisingly good. You could make your own waffles, everything else looked like something NASA had engineered, and wa sin a cellophane packet and had to be mircowaved to bring it to life! Omelettes in a packet very very scary. Room was spacious, would prefer two QQ to 2 DD, but it is what it is! Nicwe to have a small extra coupel of feet to incporate the fridge and microwave and closet. Bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Staff went out of their way to assist. Nice property throughout. A few restaurants within walking distance. Currently not all rooms have a flat screen TV. So ask for one if it's important to you.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Raleigh. It was very conveniently located to the activities we had planned. The room was nice, it had 2 double beds, a desk with comfy chair, and 2 separate chairs (one standard and one more comfy). The mattresses were very comfortable and that says a lot for a hotel. The staff during each shift were very helpful and nice. The whirlpool was not quite as hot as we would have liked, but it was very relaxing. It's a non-smoking facility so that was a nice change, not having a smelly room. The room and bathroom were very clean, which was a refreshing change from some of the experiences we have had lately. The expanded breakfast offered something for everyone and everything that we had during our stay was fresh and good. The hours could have been a little longer during the week, to accommodate the late sleepers, but they were reasonable. The cost of the room was a good value. The only thing that would have made it any better is if the pool had been an indoor pool instead of an outdoor, so we could have used it during our stay.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor (4th) on the back of the hotel and it was very quiet, away from all the tra...

I stayed here for a night while passing through Raleigh. We were originally put in a 3rd floor room with a whole window pane missing, with a large plastic sheet taped over it. Not impressed, though we were quickly moved to another room.
The new room was OK, nothing fantastic, though the fittings left a little to be desired - messy paintwork in the bathroom, scuffed bathtub, etc. Breakfast was standard fare.
The business centre had one computer only and the printer was not working.

This is our go-to property when visiting family in Raleigh. Last night, we arrived to find the place booked solid, and our reserved room beset with plumbing problems. We were accommodated at a nearby facility, and next morning, Wingate manager Valerie comped us for a free night. Love this place!

Pros: Free breakfast, guest parking, and internet. Bed big and comfy.
Con: When it rained, window was leaking and could hear noise all night. Carpet was dirty. Did not feel safe walking barefoot here. Very small restroom with weak toilet. Shower could have been cleaner. Breakfast is a long line and consisted of pre-packaged sausage sandwiches
Overall: Owned by an Indian guy. Staff who cleaned up room was also Indian guy. Price was around 70 dollars. Compared to a Motel 6 or Super 8, not worth the price.
