“Nice hotel, good location”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We were visiting family in the Raleigh area so we were just looking for a basic hotel for a few nights. La Quinta was in a good location, clean, had friendly helpful staff and a decent continental breakfast. The room was large, shower was clean and had pretty good water pressure and temperature. Our only complaint was that our room was not cleaned on the last day we stayed. We called the front desk for towels and were told we had to come down to the lobby to get them because they didn't have staff on at night. (New Year's Eve) Although an inconvenience we try not to sweat the small stuff...it was a holiday and we got our towels so we didn't make a big fuss over it. All in all a good stay at La Quinta

Room Tip: We had a 5th floor room that was very quiet.

This was our first stay traveling with a cat. I was very nervous about the whole experience. However, this was just a great first place to stay. Clean, no dog smell, no barking dogs. All the dogs we saw where friendly and quite. The staff was very informed and helpful. Couldn't do enough for you. looking forward to staying here again.

We stayed here given its location and that it is pet friendly. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and our 10 year-old daughter slept on the couch (it does not pull out). The room was very spacious for us and our two dogs (30 lbs a piece) were very comfortable. We stayed during the Christmas holidays and there were a ton of dogs at this hotel! That given, I didn't hear other peoples' dogs the entire time we were here and the grounds were kept very clean. The breakfast area was open and inviting and the food selection was typical. I would definitely stay here again if coming to Raleigh with pets. Added bonus- a huge mall is right down the road!

As with other posters, I was reluctant to book a room in a 'pet friendly' hotel, but my hesitation was needless. We stayed two days during the weekend after Thanksgiving, and the entire experience was just great. The room was spacious and VERY CLEAN, the bed slept like a dream, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and nothing is out of place. Very quiet and safe area of Raleigh, conveniently located just one block of Crabtree Valley Mall and a few blocks from the beltline. The breakfast buffet was a little protein-shy, with the usual hotel fare of carbs: waffles, breads, cereals, boiled eggs, yogurt and juice, but all was fresh and good and adequate for an early morning, quick meal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately stay here on my next trip to Raleigh! Book without hesitation.

We have stayed at this hotel before when traveling with our dogs to visit our parents in Raleigh and it was always very comfortable. This time we have lots of rewards points and were able to book a deluxe king suite for 3 days. I called a few days before and asked if we could get a room on the first floor near and exit. The manager was wonderful, we got to the hotel early and he asked if we could wait 15 minutes and he would have the suite right next to the exit by the dog walking area. It was ready in 10. I cannot tell you how happy we were with the location and condition of our room. Breakfast was great. This was over Thanksgiving weekend...staff was wonderful.

Room Tip: If you have a dog and spring for a suite...Room #130 is the best.

Even though I don't usually stay at pet friendly hotels, I decided to give this one a try for its good reviews and price. Didn't found any pet stains or smells (and there were a LOT of dogs at the inn). Oddly enough, the second floor had a strong smoke smell, but luckily the third (were I stayed) didn't. The staff is somewhat detached, but courteous enough. The lobby is ample and cozy. I found the breakfast offer very nice with a few extras added to the usual fare. Loved the tucked away but still close to everything location. Overall, this La Quinta has the feel of a pricier hotel; it was definitely a good choice.
Tip: For delivery try Hungry Howie's tasty pizza & calzones.
