I stayed for two nights. Booking was incredibly easy and pleasant. The room was large, clean and comfortably furnished, with a decent en-suite. My room overlooked the front with a good view over the bungalows opposite and across the Dee valley. The house is well appointed, with a comfortable guest lounge. The breakfast room is pleasant, and you access the attached eating area over a glass threshold where the owners have thoughtfully put an arrangement of green plants.
The breakfast menu is incredible, with a huge choice of local products which puts many large hotel chains to shame.
Although on the main North Deeside road through Culter there is little intrusion from rush hour traffic. The front access holds approx 3/4 cars and visibility is a little restricted when leaving to join the main road. There is further parking at the rear, off the side road and on the side road itself.
The Plough Inn is a few hundred yards down the road, with an M & S operated Filling Station opposite the inn.
Culter itself, although not really attractive has all the required amenities and is an excellent centre for access to Aberdeen (8 miles), Stonehaven (12), Deeside and Donside.
Mr. & Mrs. J. Reid will certainly look after you.
