“Good value.”

This is not the Ritz Carlton but is not nearly as expensive either! About half the price of the more expensive place in Plymouth. The room was clean, the king-sized bed was comfortable. The room was also quiet and the staff was friendly. Don't expect much at breakfast, though. Very limited and served in a tiny area. Other than the breakfast we didn't have any complaints. This is a great value stay and we would definately stay here again! There is a good Pizza Hut next door, also.

We stayed here form the weekend. The rooms looked good but we had to leave the door open for a time because of the musty smell. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay then this hotel will do. The continental breakfast is limited. We found it odd that only white bread was served. The apples were not crisp.

We stayed here with our 18 month old on a trip to the Outer Banks. We needed a place for a one night stopover as we couldnt quite make it as far as OBX, but turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Front desk staff were lovely but we were given a very, very dark downstairs room that had a very odd smell and the carpet was damp (assume it had been cleaned after pets staying???). The room was very dated and whenever we were in the room we had to have the lights on. Capet was lifting/rotting in the doorway and it looked a bit like they had had a bit of water go into the room at some stage. In hindsight we should have probably asked to see another room but that wouldnt have solves our slightly uneasy feeling about the place. The other guest all seemed to be contractors or temporary workers staying on a semi-long term basis and the place just felt a bit dodgy.

On the positive side (just!), the bathroom was clean enough but the shower was a bit of a disappointment, no hooks in the bathroom to hang your toilet bag and no lid on the toilet which was an inconvenience (especially given no hooks to hang anything on and not liking the look of the floor).

Breakfast was a huge disappointment...it is served early and maybe if we had been there early there might have been some food, but in our case at 8am there was nothing left so it was lucky we had some Cheerios with us. The cereal dispensers were broken, there was one dodgy looking muffin and three bits of seriously dry bread. No thanks!

Plymouth itself was also a disappointment for us with very few dining options except Pizza Hutt and KFC.

My advice, stretch out for the Outer Banks or try Williamston a few miles West. We couldnt wait to get out of the motel and didnt look back!

We recently made a whirlwind trip from Western North Carolina to the Outer Banks and back. We stopped for the night at the Port O' Plymouth Inn. The rooms were clean, check-in and check-out were a breeze and the staff was friendly. Not a 5-star Hilton but a great motel at the right price for a band on a budget.

The hotel for the price was superb. Since there were problems with our reservation, the owner - at the hotel at the time - came out and assisted us in a friendly manner. Though the hotel may seem slightly dilapidated in appearance, I found the rooms very tidy and up to par to more expensive hotels such as Best Western and Holiday Inn. The free breakfast was great, and I didn't have to spend the extra cash someplace else in the morning. If I'm on the way to the beach again in a rush, I'd certainly stop here again.

Room Tip: I had a room close to the entrance; found it very convenient when checking out.

This is a really good non-branded propery with newly renovated rooms. It also is the last motel before the Ounter Banks of North Carolina. The hot breakfast is on the same level as Choice Motels which I nornally frequent. For the money, this property warrants consideration,.

Room Tip: This property is in a excellent location right off US 64 so getting a room around the center to the...
