We went there on a Tuesday after the lunch hour rush with 8 people. We only ate ice cream but there were lots of people around us ordering food. The place was very busy, but they were able to seat us rather quickly. We all ordered individually as it was a "special treat" day, but you could get by with 2 adults splitting the banana split or 2 kids splitting a 2 scoop sundae, etc... as the portions are a nice size. The 2 scoop sundae is only a few cents more than the one scoop sundae, so by getting the 2 scoops you get more than you can eat and also a variety of ice cream. One of our party got a soda float which they said they very much enjoyed. One thing I liked was that even though it was pricey, the portions were overflowing and at least made you feel like you were getting a great deal, unlike a place like baskin robbins where everything looks so stingy. Anyway our waitress was really sweet and patient (so many flavors to choose through) and even let us look at the upstairs even though it wasn't open. If you like old timey relics and antique items, you'll love just going here for that purpose alone. But be prepared for the bill... our party of 8 cost about 50$ with the tip.
