Fearrington Village is a lovely spot between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, NC, with both older and newer homes, mainly for retirees. This restaurant is part of a "downtown" for the development, and is usually busy, especially for lunch.

We have eaten here many times as part of an annual trek to an artists weekend, and we have never been disappointed. Salads and sandwiches are the main choices, but usually a featured soup is a must try...always yummy. There is also a nice selection of entrees if you need a heavier item.

Although they do not have specific gluten free items, the kitchen is willing to modify for its guests. I selected tuna fish, but on greens, and it was very good.

There is also a small deli shop across the street, but it always appears crowded, too. Tip: On Saturdays, try for early or late lunch, as waiting for a seat during normal lunch hours is almost always necessary.

A friend arranged a special dinner here for about 30 people to celebrate the life of her mother. The setting was wonderful, and the food and service excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, and it was a great way to celebrate her mother's life among friends and family.

Restaurant in the center of Fearrington Village. Good selection of food and included vegetarian options. Prices ranged from $30s for certain steaks and low teens for other menu items like fried chicken. They had about 5 or 6 beers on tap and a selection of wines. There are a couple of TVs at the bar that can be seen by some of the close tables. I would recommend it and would come again.
I sat at high top table but next time would request a regular table. You do not have a waiter and are served by the bar tender at the high tops.

My husband made reservations for our date night and we were very excited to visit this very popular restaurant. Let me start with the positive: our food was delicious! Everything about our dinner was divine.
Here is the negative. The big negative. Our service was, well, beyond disappointing. Our server was the bartender and he didn't know the specials or the menu. We sat for close to ten minutes, waiting for him to even come to take our drink orders while he casually chatted right next to us to an older couple. They weren't discussing food or the service but how Nate the bartender lived or knew someone who lived in California.
This happened several times. He didn't check to see how our food arrived. Oh wait, he did, after I ate it. My drink glass remained empty half the time, as did my husbands. The host was more helpful and I wish we could have tipped him.
We had to seek out the host for our check and even then, Nate didn't bother to finish his service with us.
Next time we will request to be seated not in that section.

A charming and cozy restaurant on the grounds of Fearington where we enjoyed delicious appetizers and a well-prepared meal . Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the wine.
