Fearrington Village is a lovely spot between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, NC, with both older and newer homes, mainly for retirees. This restaurant is part of a "downtown" for the development, and is usually busy, especially for lunch.
We have eaten here many times as part of an annual trek to an artists weekend, and we have never been disappointed. Salads and sandwiches are the main choices, but usually a featured soup is a must try...always yummy. There is also a nice selection of entrees if you need a heavier item.
Although they do not have specific gluten free items, the kitchen is willing to modify for its guests. I selected tuna fish, but on greens, and it was very good.
There is also a small deli shop across the street, but it always appears crowded, too. Tip: On Saturdays, try for early or late lunch, as waiting for a seat during normal lunch hours is almost always necessary.
