Definitely a must see. Easy to find, and easy to get to...down a small flight of stairs. Our teens were looking for waterfalls where they could swim, and climb on rocks...this isn't one of them, but very beautiful!

Just gorgeous and massive! I can't believe this fall is so easy to get to! On a crowded day, I bet it's hard to navigate parking and the crowds. The observation deck is small and the surrounding rocks are steep and slippery. Several stairs, so not accessible to everyone. Impossible to get a picture without other people in them. My kids and hubby swam at the base. They thought it was a fun experience, but freezing cold (not a surprise). The mist was blowing off the falls this day, so I bet it's a nice place to cool off on a hot day. Must see if close by.

I love the view of the falls. The water is cold but your body adapts to it. The only issue is there is no bathroom facilities on site. You would have to go to Sliding rock or the Picnic area to use the bathroom. It is free and has a lot of rocks. I advise using water shoes to have grip and to prevent rocks from cutting the bottom of your foot.

Looking Glass Falls is just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 411.8 (US 276)--a beautiful waterfall with a large pool at the bottom. I would have rated it higher but did not because it was hard to photograph with all the people swimming in the pool This would be stunning in the fall when the Autumn colors come out and the water is too cold for swimming.

Took the kids here after sliding rock. They are only 5 minutes apart, so the 2 attractions so close made this worth the 1.5 hr drive for us.

As a limited mobility person, this falls was good as you simply parked along the shoulder of the road and walked up the sidewalk to the falls. There is a landing area up top where the 100+ stairs lead down to the falls. There is also a bench a few feet away.

The kids did the treck down and back up, and with my telephoto lense on my camera, was able to capture photos from the top as if I was right there.

Photos attachted: Zoom with cropped photo of my daughter at bottom of falls, and 2nd is a view of the falls and stairs down/up.
