“Best branch ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you hungry after church or just hungry, this is the jewel you should know about.
You came in to the best German restaurant in Charlotte area. Food is always fresh. Service is great! Two German chefs came from Germany and open this place and I tell you what. I relocate from Charlotte and drive 2 hours on weekends just to eat in this place for brunch. You will not get disappointed, I promise you.
Egg ala cart. Full buffet and full desert bar. Not to mention best European coffee in town.

“Sunday brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

First visit, the staff is so friendly! Food was buffet style & the had a lot of choices, plus an omlette bar - where they cook right in front of you. I'd like to go back another time and try other foods, too.

“Great food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is my favorite restaurant, even though I must travel 1 hour to get there it is worth it. I have never eaten a bad meal at this restaurant and I have eaten there nearly 50 times.

The Sunday brunch is terrific.

“Fun New Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Looking for a new place to have a celebratory dinner, my husband suggested the Waldhorn - we had both heard good things over the years but never remembered to go check it out. Plus, I had no idea it was so easy to find - basically behind the Carolina Place Mall. The menu had a lot of variety and seemed very authentic (according to my German husband). The bread was delicious pretzel rolls and the appetizers (we had trout and potato pancakes) were pretty large portions. We arrived at 4pm on a Saturday after running errands and were afraid it wasn't open yet because the parking lot was empty. It was, and by the time we left the place was packed so I think we got there at just the right time! The apple strudel was fantastic and our waitress (Stefanie) even was willing to look for some empty glass bottles for my new bottle cutting hobby. It was just a cool new experience with friendly people and great food.
