The recently opened Inn is in a great location on the square in historic Pinehurst. Locals
filled the pub and the restaurant was fine for casual dining. But the owner was nowhere to be seen
after showing us our room. No Ice, No morning coffee, No paper, No conversation. We found
it odd after many stays at other Inns. The propriotors did not answer their phone in the am
and we just left.

Room Tip: The room had an odd bed one needed to climb up into. The TV was not watchable from bed and needed t...

Since the hotel came under new management a little over a year ago, The Magnolia Inn has transformed into a hot spot for locals as well as remaining the perfect accommodations and location for out-of-town guests. All the rooms and bathrooms and main public areas of the Inn have been updated and renovated but it remains historic and quaint. The food is delicious and offers a diverse menu including light appetizers, soups, salads, pasta, sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees such as steak, salmon, chicken, and more. There is never a problem finding something wonderful to eat. Casual and more formal dining are both available and during nice weather, The Mag has a beautiful outdoor patio with umbrellas on the tables and outdoor heaters for when the weather gets a little cooler. The Pub is cozy and friendly and we love stopping by for a drink. Also, love the fact that they have live music on the patio during the warm weather months usually 3-4 evenings a week. It is a great atmosphere to gather with friends, have a cocktail or two, enjoy a nice meal and listen to some great entertainment. Kudos to the Mag!

This is a very nice inn. They make you feel like you are family staying with them. Our room was in the front of the inn on the second floor. It was very large. We did hear noises in the morning when guests were leaving and from the room next door at about 2AM but that wouldn’t keep me from staying there again. Our son had a room on the 3rd with a king bed but the room was smaller.
Do plan to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It is small and you will need to make reservations well in advance of your stay.
We didn’t use the shuttle to the courses or the other hotel it was easy to drive, but they do have a shuttle and it seemed that it would come when requested.
The front desk staff and bell men were very friendly. (one really loved to talk)
If you are golfing at Pinehurst or you just want to be treated like royality stay here!

Room Tip: make dinner reservations well in advance.

When traveling we always look for an alternative between hotels and motels. The Mag, was the perfect fit! The Inn is beautifully restored, with a cozy atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable and very well appointed. The afghans in the room was a nice added touch. Nothing is nicer than a meal on the patio on a nce warm evening. The food is excellent and the staff looked after all our needs. After a walk thru the beautiful village, we relaxed on the veranda with a glass of wine and watched the world go by. We will definitely stay at the Magnolia Inn whenever we visit Pinehurst.

My wife and I stayed at the Mag when we could not get our regular accomodations, and we could not have been more surprised. The room was clean and well appointed and the food excellent. The owners, bartenders, and staff were most attentive, and you can't beat evenings on the patio, listening to local talent and having a cool drink. The Magnolia Inn is a great destination.

Lovely historic inn that's transformed into a resturant and bar with rooms above. Once checked in, guests are on their own to navigate the ammenities and local area. The owners and staff are pleasant and attentive when approached. The food, particularly breakfast, is deliscious and prepared with care.

My husband had a golf tournament to play in in Pinehurst, and we decided to stay at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast for a night to make a weekend getaway out of the trip. The Magnolia was WONDERFUL. We were greeted at the door by first name and shown up to our room. The room was wonderful, not huge, but big enough with a VERY comfortable king size bed, very well decorated, flat screen tv, nice bathroom (not huge, but big enough considering the age of the house). The character of the historic home, which has been so wonderfully restored and decorated shines through everywhere. The first floor has a wonderful restaurant as well as a small pub. In the afternoon we walked around the Pinehurst area (which the inn is located right in the middle of) with its cute shops and restaurants. The inn is walking distance to both the golf courses and the Carolina. We had a drink at the pub, which has a very lively and fun bartender, and then ate dinner at the restaurant. The dinner was one of the best I have had in awhile. The NY strip steak was amazing and the grilled salmon my husband ordered was great too. I also highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert! The atmosphere of being in a historic home really made the night wonderful and so special compared to any other generic hotel stay. It was so great to be able to just walk upstairs at the end of the evening as if we were in our own home. We were served a big plate of scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, tomato slice, and 2 slices of cheese for breakfast. I definitely plan on staying at the Bed and Breakfast every time I come to Pinehurst!
