“The Home of American Golf”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Incredible Golf Course! Home to the 2014 US Open. 110 years old and is still the best golf course in America! Designed by the legendary Donald Ross of St. Andrews, Scotland, who was Pinehurst's golf pro for almost 50 years. He designed 5 or 6 of Pinehurst's 8 golf courses. Almost every modern golf course designer has used Ross as their mentor.

“Plan Accordingly”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

I just returned from Guys Trip to Pinehurst- 12 of us. Super time. One big suggestion all 12 of us agree on though is, IF you ever try to play 36 holes in one day, do NOT have Course #2 be one of the 18's. First most people walk the 18 with Caddy, and it is such a demanding course that you must really focus to enjoy, and rushing to try and get 36 holes in diminishes the experience. Make it your only 18 holes in 1 day, you'll enjoy trip much more.

“America's #1 public golf course”
Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

I have taken clients golfing all over the country and have played a lot of top ranked courses. In my opinion, Pinehurst #2 surpasses them all, especially now with the redesign of the course. It is the second time I have played #2 and thought it was so much more interesting and beautiful with the redesign. No more boring Bermuda roughs, it is all sand and waste areas that you can play out of if you miss the fairway. You honestly don't need a caddy but that may add to your experience if you've never had one. Don't attempt to play the course from anything but the whites unless your handicap is below 8. Otherwise, play up, score better and have a much more enjoyable round. Pinehurst #2 is legendary.
