If you have never been to the Pinehurst Resort you have really missed a wonderful vacation. The Pinehurst Resort and the Village of Pinehurst is like going back in time. The resort is over 100 years old. The accomodations, food and service are excellent. The golf and spa is fantastic. There is something to do for everyone. We have stayed there on numerous occasions and have never been dissapointed.

A quick two night visit to Pinehurst between Christmas and New Years that was very enjoyable. Certainly a beautiful location and property. We were in the town (and the village area of Pinehurst is real treat in terms of shopping and restaurants) to visit friends so our time was not so much a "destination vacation" as a great place for an overnight that was convenient to our friends who lived locally.

The historic Carolina building is lovely. The golf history oozes from the very pores of the place. I"m more or a hacker than a golfer and even I was impressed and intrigued by the breadth of gold history that can be found here. It gave me a new appreciation for the sport including an understanding of the symbols and icons of Pinehurst, like Payne Stewart.

I did spend a day at the spa which was as good as any you will find. Excellent services, reasonable prices, informed and helpful staff. They did their best to accommodate many of my last minute requests.

The hotel property is "historic" (read "old"). No way around that. That's part of it's very charm The only reason I rated the property as "very good" as opposed to "excellent" had to do with the room quality, room size, bed comfort, bathroom fixtures and features. Also, with wooden floors throughout the place (although carpeted), more noise came into the room from the hallways than I would have liked. Still, delightful and nothing in this review should give you pause not to go.

Staff and service were all excellent. We didn't have a chance to have a meal there but from what I could see and smell, it all looked great.

Glad we went!

This historic hotel is great. The rooms are larger than most hotels and the bathrooms are quite a bit larger. We were there on Jan. 8-10 and the weather was in the 60's and 70's. The rates this time of year are very reasonable. The golf is great the courses are well maintained and again very reasonable rates to play. Of course the weather can be colder than when I was there as it is only in the 30's today so check the long range forecast before booking if you want to play golf. The restaurants are excellent at the hotel.

Room Tip: Go during the winter months.

Pinehurst is glorious from spring to fall, but don't rule it out in the winter! Quieter, yes, but such a fantastic escape after the holidays. Our group (6 this year) just returned from another wonderful weekend enjoying this treat. Spent all day at Sat. at Spa pampering ourselves. Dinner at the Hotel with Angela and our old friends who make the dining experience something special.

Pinehurst is a wonderful step back in time. The village has beautiful homes, cute shops ( go to Cool Sweats for sure for great cotton, casual fashions.) The Evergreen package is a great deal to try this resort out!

Room Tip: Rooms vary, and you may hear people in hallways. Ask about specifics of room when reserving.

This property and it's satellite locations and Pinehurst Golf courses is one that should be on your bucket list. Everything is beautiful and "Good Housekeeping" immaculate. Even better is the training of the staff. Once they knew it they remembered and used my name constantly like I was a member of the family. They go over the top to provide the best service possible. The Pinehurst golf facility is one of the finest I've seen and played at. I played #4 and was often just swept up in the beauty of the course. I wish I had remembered sooner my cell phone has a built in camera! ☺ For this facility you can expect to pay a bit more than you would at other locations but there are specials out there to take advantage of. Go, Play, Enjoy! You won't regret it.

I have been to the spa at Pinehurst many times over the past 5 years while on business, for a bachelorette weekend, and with my husband. The quality of the treatments is good - I have never left dissatisfied. I have even had my hair trimmed several times. Three reasons why I love this spa: 1) relaxing! Not stuffy or clinical, but quiet and comfortable 2) access to the amazing indoor pool with even the cheapest treatment - get a manicure or get your hair trimmed but take a swim first! 3) lunch by the pool - order and relax in your robe with friends or with a book!

We enjoyed our New Year's package at the Pinehurst Hotel. The staff was friendly and it was relaxing. The food was fabulous. The party was one of the best that I have ever attended. The package was inclusive. We will do this again!!!
