This restaurant maintains erratic hours, hard to keep track of, The building looks more like a store for your local butcher-true. Why the crazy hours???Sometimes open sometimes not, guess the cook is out chasin da Cow!
Sadly, Oxford residents have a passion for mediocre, and here we go again!
Kind reviews appear to have been written by the owners wife!!
Oxford to start with is one of those towns you pass through on your way to nowhere, and find you are there in nowhere! Food is cheap, mediocre and vastly overated, Either travelers don't know quality, and fail to keep going to better fare in at least Virginia.
Sorry-beware kind ratings in Oxford are definitely misleading!! Keep driving!!

We ate there four years ago and couldn't wait to go again. This time we ordered separate ribeyes instead of one big one, which was a mistake. Thin steak has no juice or sealed-in flavor. I wish the server had told us that. The salad bar is very good, but dinner was a disappointment.

My mom treated me to one of her favorite steak houses. It was in Oxford, NC. House of Ribeyes is a small restaurant that has a menu focusing mainly on steaks. There were no side dishes other that a backed potatoe or baked sweet potatoe, a modest yet well stocked salad bar, texas toast and a kids menu. The meal was prepared on an open grill in the main dining room. The steaks were cooked to order perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The staff, though dressed in jeans and t-shirts, were very attentive and courteous. The decor was plain and modest and somewhat sterile, but the main reason I was there was to eat so it really didn't matter that much. A little pricey but more that worth it. I look forward to my next visit.

Great steak! If you are looking for a thick cut steak at a good value than this is the place for you. The cook takes your order to make sure the food is cooked the way you want and you get the cut of meat the way you want it! We will eat here again.

It's a steakhouse with not much to distinguish it from franchises all over the country. Ordinary steaks and a bland little salad bar. The wait staff can be negligent. It is hard to figure out the opening times, too.
