My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the Inn! Let me just begin by saying that this is one of the best Band B's! We have stayed at many over the last three years, and each has their own flavor and style. Our innkeepers Dave and Brigette were the most friendly of hosts! They were very helpful in procurring for us tickets to both the Biltmore and Chimney Rock, and gave us tips on what extra tours to see and do. The Great Room was very cozy and had many books and magazines of the area, including the area restaurant menus.
The afternoon that we arrived, Dave was out moving rocks and mowing, but he made a stop to greet us while Brigette checked us in. We stayed in the room with the huge whirlpool tub, and she did warn us that it took an hour to fill. So we adjusted our schedule for that! The mountains around us contained many areas to explore. When we returned from our walk, we spent the early evening watching the Cavaliers lose! That was the only disappointment of our entire trip!
The breakfasts were fabulous! Every morning Dave had a different menu for us to enjoy. He always told us the evening before and asked if that was ok with us, which of course it was! The breads were delicious and the fresh juice blends were a wonderful treat. My husband especially enjoyed talking to Dave as he prepared each evening the menu. We felt welcomed and a part of their lives for a little while! We even let the cat, Joey in!
The last night we were there, we brought back ice cream and they brought out the toppings, and we finished a wonderful evening just chatting.
We are definitely coming back! We can't wait to see what they do with the property! As for being new B and B owners; you would never know it!! We are also looking forward to some more of Dave's great breakfast menus!
