“Food was good at a comfortable dive”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The decor is typical on the dock seafood place. Fresh catch of day sandwich was very tasty as was the scallop sandwich and the beer went down well on a sultry day on the patio. Yes you do have to fight off the flies but that is something not uncommon in Ocrakoke near the water. The service was good. A good place for a family meal with a view of the water.

“Mixed review”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

We were looking for a place that had fresh seafood for lunch. In asking for advice at one of the museums, we were directed here. Seating was available inside and outside both offering views of the water and activities taking place on the water. Food (shrimp burger and fish taco) were fresh and very good. Service in taking our orders and delivering the food was average. Getting out bill took some time. Overall just an average experience, not great but not disappointing.

“Out-N-the Open”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

The place was crowded and we had to wait for a table, but that is to be expected, with all the tables outside with the flies and heat! The few waiters were running with food and even saw one drop someones order. The food took a long time to get and was average nothing to brag about. The bathrooms were small and discusting.

“It was OK. Nice view.”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We ordered soft shell crab sandwich and fish tacos. The crab was not so soft shelled. Had to pull lots of crab shell out of my mouth as it was inedible. The fish tacos were made with tilapia, absolutely the worst fish to use as it gets slimy and too soft for tacos. Plus there was little in the way of seasoning or salsa that would remind me of a fish taco.

Great view on the marina. Above Average food (pulled pork sandwich and shrimp basket). Decent price. Overall, good place for your typical fried bar & seafood.
