We've stayed there twice and had our daughter's destination wedding there last weekend. We like the facility, the staff, the amenities and the event planner Mel! They have more options of accomodations than any place we've ever been, from ocean-side ocean-view one to three bedroom rooms to island-side 6 BR cottages. The buffet breakfast included in the price of your room has something for everyone and the light fare from the Tiki Bar is very tasty. We feel like we are in the Caribbean with all the lush plantings. For the wedding, we worked with Mel for 9 months and had all vendors be hired by her so we could pay just one fee for all. She was willing to have vendors not in the area work with her as well as those who were in the area and recommended by her. She's wonderful! All the staff was helpful and friendly and many of our guests said they would come back to The Winds for a vacation. This is no luxury resort but instead a homey, old-style, family type beach resort that suits us to a T.
