For a small admittance fee, there is much to see and do at thei friendly little museum, conveniently located a block from the beach.

Included among the many exhibits is the Touch Tank where you can help feed all sorts of small sea creatures - star fish, sea urchins, puffer fish, hermit crabs, and even a Florida Horse Conch rescued during Hurricane Irene.

Stop by the gift shop too!

A great place to take children that is fun and a learning experience. Our 6 year old granddaughter loved it.

Our kids (ages 6 & 9) were entertained by the museum but did not linger over anything in particular. The staff was very friendly. Price was good and they do offer programs that are included in the admission to the museum. The only reason I am going to say we won't go back is. . . unless they update their displays or add on - we saw everything we wanted to see on this trip. Their touch tank was pretty good - the kids did enjoy that part of the tour.

We spent a few hours here with family and had a good time - plus they offered a few programs that the kids enjoyed. Nice to do as a break from the beach.

This is a great small museum for young kids. Unlike many museums, this one has lots of features you can touch. Downstairs is a play area with giant turtle puzzles, smaller puzzles and ocean toys to play with. There is a touch tank with hermit crabs and sea urchins and a staff member on hand to talk to the kids about the sea life. Another hands-on tank shows how the tides move sand. My girls went crazy for it, pushing the buttons to make the water flow in different directions.

And the price was great--a total of $22 for 2 adults and 2 3-year-olds. On entry, we were handed a sheet of items to identify throughout the museum. After finding them all, the kids got to choose a small prize. Lots of fun-I recommend it.
