Interesting little place. As I pushed open the door was not expecting what was inside – interior décor like a trendy bistro that would not have looked out of place in Southern California ! The menu was chalked up on boards and you then ordered and paid at the counter, name called out when items were ready and which you then collected together with silverware. Nice layout of tables quite widely spaced out and, at each end, large sofa areas for sitting chatting or catching up on emails; along one wall there were artsy items on display and for sale and one corner had book shelves full of books for reading. I had ½ vegie quiche, ½ Harvest salad. Lovely light homemade quiche and the salad was greens, scallions, pecans, blue cheese and thinly sliced green apple – most delicious; best quiche I have had in a very long time.

located on N. Wilkesboro's downtown, it offers a nice selection of coffees, teas, and other beverages as well as good sandwiches and sweets. The decor is artsy with books and art work all around. Very nice staff.

If you are in downtown North Wilkesboro windowshopping this should be a refreshing stop during your day. Talia's has some of the best coffees and pasteries you will find in the foothills. My family has frequented this establishment many times and have always been totally satisfied. The selections in coffee and blended drinks alone will satisfy even the most finicky palettes. I highly recommend the rasberry and white chocolate scones..the best I've ever had. If you like something more substantial they have a tasty variety of fresh sandwiches, salads and quiches..all well prepared and satisfying.....definitely a stop on anyone's map of North Wilkesboro

Love this place! If you want espresso or lunch, this is a wonderful place for either! Everything is fresh and unique, from scones to quiche or egg salad. You can get hot soup, but my favorite is the house salad with half quiche.

Really, the only negative thing I can possibly say about this place is that they were not open on Sunday for me to get a coffee after discovering it on Saturday. The baristas were very cheery and helpful, the ambiance was wonderful, the location awesome, and the food and coffee excellent. The White Owl Mocha was incredible, and the breakfast choices looked great. I opted for an early lunch and had the turkey and cranberry chutney sandwich and it was great. I really enjoyed chilling in the cafe, enjoying the atmosphere and sipping my coffee. This was a great local place to stop in at, and I am so glad I gave it a try instead of driving to find the national doughnut house chain for coffee.
