We ate at Bay Leaf for the first time for the buffet. We arrived just before noon. There was no wait. The atmosphere is lovely, delightful. The service was prompt and helpful -- not pushy but attentive. The food was superb. We'd not eaten much Indian food before, but even our picky 14 year old daughter loved the chicken tandoori. The chicken masala with their rice was very good. The two custard desserts were great -- love the cardamom in the rice pudding! And the mango chutney, spread on the na'an -- ah! so very good! We love to eat out and have tried quite a few restaurants in the area. Bay Leaf has interesting food, excellently cooked. The place was full by 12:30, but no one waited. As soon as you walk in the door, the aroma will tell you this is gonna be a very good meal. At about $10/person, this buffet is an excellent deal. I don't like spicy food, and nothing I ate was too hot at all. We will go back often.
