“Nice evening out, moderately priced, no raves.”
Reviewed December 13, 2011

Oysters Rockefeller were pretty but bland. Salad typical. Very good filet of beef, properly cooked. The lamb shanks were excellent. Creme Brulee quite palatable. Service professional and cordial.

“A Dining Must!”
Reviewed August 2, 2011

Looking for a friendly ,efficient and knowledgeable staff, good food prepared as requested, wonderful selections of wine by the glass and historic ambiance...Harvey Mansion is your place. Despite the fact that it was pouring down rain, had a direct hit by lightening (bricks and tile flying in the air!) the staff calmly and quietly handled the 18 guests professionally and with aplumb. The Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon, green beans (fresh and not over done) and mashed potatoes ( a bit gluey) were served to our specifications. All the electrical appliances had been rendered inoperable by the strike. The salads were a bit uninspired though fresh. The soup flavorful, fresh and hot. The chocolat flourless cake was a fine finish to a good meal. A bit of the Syrah( by the glass) made a fine pairing. The staff "accessed, adapted and improvised" very well! Credit cards were handle the "old" way with the push and pull card swipe and a huge smile which we wore upon our departure.

“Simply charming”
Reviewed May 31, 2011

We were very impressed by the Harvey Mansion restaurant! The early bird menu (at bargain prices) is extensive and food was delightfully presented. Waitress was extremely attentive and we were seated in a lovely room with five other tables. We stayed at the Hilton and this was literally one block away. Definitely a "five star" evening.

“Great Restaurant - Food and Atmosphere Wonderful”
Reviewed May 19, 2011

We were celebrating my husbands birthday on a Wednesday night and what a delicious meal we had. The service was attentive and helpful. The waitress even quietly sang Happy Birthday to him. It was endearing. My husband had Lamb Osso from the early bird menu. It was exceptional and a great value. I had the vegetarian dish from the regular menu which was a taste treat. The food showed a great deal of attention to both the flavor and presentation. Kudos to the chief, Scott Weiss. Of course the atmosphere was wonderful in such an old restored house. Definitely on our list when we return.

“Historic Setting - Disappointing Food”
Reviewed May 19, 2011

We arrived with high expectations for this restaurant due to its TripAdvisor ratings but left before the main meal was ordered. The Oysters Rockefeller appetizer was made with previously frozen oysters and was like mush with spinach on top. The lobster bisque with sherry was "ordinary" and served at almost room temperature. We anxiously departed - not recommended...
